you don't surf enough if you think firefox work fine both browsers are too damn arrogant to support all the code that's out there.

either way, i'll be uptading my ie7 beta2 with this one. and still continue to use firefox the other half of the time.

i love firefox for the adblock plugin, that thing is a godsend. aside from that, it doesn't have anything that ie7 doesn't have (that i use).

I spend way too much time on the Internet, and I don't use IE for anything (other than Windows Update, of course). Firefox works on all of the websites I visit. Do you have some examples?

Wait, "any web site you are visiting would be able to retrieve confidential data from your bank. This could also be used to retrieve personal settings entered on sites like eBay or Paypal."

...but it's not critical?!

I don't understand how we can value ratings more than what the bug is...
No, it says that the bug is very difficult to exploit, that's why it is "less critical". Not just any website could get your info. If has to be a website setup specifically for that, such as with phishing sites. And if you actually go to one of these sites, you can be in trouble no matter what browser you use.

State Farm online payment and a couple of other ecommerce sites force me to use IE. I like FF and have used it almost exclusively for a couple of years, but have enjoyed IE7 for a couple of weeks now.

IE is a browser. Some of you forgot that on your way to FF fanboyism. I personally use both but prefer IE to browse and FF to code on(web design). But A browser is a browser is a browser. FF was basically a clone of IE until they added features, then IE added their "new" features, and now its a "clone" of FF? LOL, You guys need jesus.

However, I will wait till IE7 gets patched up first before I update my machine.

I think that's his point. All browser's have the same basic setup.

Downloaded it. Slight interface changes, not much more. The thing locks up pretty consistently, too. Not done baking yet... sort of like how Vista will probably be when it comes our in January.

This isn't actually an IE7 browser bug. It's a bug with Outlook Express.

Check out this article from PC World.

Reported IE 7 Bug Not in Browser
Microsoft says flaw is really a problem with Outlook Express.
Robert McMillan, IDG News Service
Thursday, October 19, 2006 04:00 PM PDT

A flaw that research firm Secunia claimed to have discovered in Internet Explorer 7 just hours after its unveiling is not a browser bug after all, Microsoft said today.

Instead, the problem lies in a component of Microsoft's Outlook Express e-mail client, which can be triggered by the browser.

The flaw could be used in phishing attacks to read sensitive information from the IE browser, Secunia said. The Danish security firm first reported the problem with the IE 6 browser in April and found that it could be reproduced on IE 7 as well.

Secunia does not consider the problem to be critical, but it was widely reported because its discovery came so soon after IE 7's launch.

hmmm, i highly doubt IE7 can render pages faster than Opera, nor has the copious extensions of firefox (gmail manager alone is worth it).

I don't like it so far.
What's the big hype over "tabbed" browsing?? I don't think I need it.

IE7 takes up too much screen space IMO.
I wish I could get down to two tool bars up top (and still have the links tool bar)!

EDIT: how do you keep "favorites" pegged??
