I would like to see a few changes in his cabinet.

First...Rumsfeld needs to go....I think he has blown too much smoke up everyones a$$ for way too long.

Second...Powell needs to go...perhaps be moved to SOD or just go quietly into retirement.

Third...McCain for SOS...or SOD...would be good as either.

Fourth...If McCain is SOD then Guilliani as SOS.

Fifth...sorry Tommy...you gotta go...move Frist from Senate to HHS...he is a doctor and has a clue if not Frist than perhaps in a bold move offer it to Bill Gates...who seems to have a real interest and perhaps some knowledge in the area.

I want Rumsfeld to run for President personally. I think it might actually cause all the libs head to explode..

Powell has already announced he won't serve a second term.

I would be surprised to see McCain join the cabinet, particularly in light of how Powell's star has fallen in this White House, though I guess anything's possible.

I'd also be a little surprised to see Giuliani join the team for the same reason as McCain.

I agree with both of these suggestions as wise, BTW - they just seem highly unlikely to me.

There is no way on earth Bill Gates would join the Cabinet under any circumstances, and you can quote me on that and mock me if I'm wrong.

I'd LOVE to see it happen, actually. Even Al Sharpton would win in a landslide. Rumsfeld polls out as one of the least-beloved political figures of the last 20 years.

Oh I agree about it not being likely...just things I would like to see....Bill Gates might be cold and evil in the computer world...but seems to have a heart of gold when it comes to humanitarian and health issues.

If you're such a huge fan of his strategies, I suggest you join the Army Reserve and voluntarily go active. They could use you in Iraq.

Yeah..hes been a disappointment as well...how about this as a twist of fate....if Bush is re-elected...appoint John Edwards...and let him see what its like on the other side of the courtroom...might actually make a good difference.

He only lost the MO Governor race to a dead man...

It was actually a Senate race, but it's particularly comical IMO that Ashcroft was an incumbent, and STILL lost to a man who had been dead for three weeks.

Yeah, I fixed it. I had to check myself on it, and apparently was thinking Gov. because he lost to the ex-living ex-governor. I also kept myself from appearing to actually care about MO...

How is that wishing harm on you? I'm suggesting that since you are such an ardent supporter of OIF and Scty Rumsfeld, you take advantage of the opportunity to serve your country.

There really is an unfulfilled need, because Guard and Reserve recruiting are down, and retention is becoming a problem for the Army. Joining would be a bona fide opportunity to see the real-world application of the principles you advance, and to serve as part of something larger than yourself (something even larger than the vaunted "PNRWC"). I can virtually guarantee you'd be a better person for it.

Please provide links to articles which show we are not meeting our recruiting and retention needs in the military. Everything I have read have said just the opposite.. but, I am sure you can prove me wrong.

When did being in the army become harm?

The National Guard missed its recruiting goals for the year, and the AD and Reserve prospects of meeting next year's goals look soft (they satisfied their FY04 goals, largely on the strength of delayed enlistees, which have dropped markedly going into FY05). This is part of the reason the Army has increased enlistment bonuses this year. Meanwhile, thousands of soldiers are affected by stop-loss, so if and when they're permitted to leave, the available force will just shrink.

I honestly think military service would be good for you, and offer a real chance to serve your country. Why don't you do it, if you're such an ardent supporter of the war?

I recently read Ashcroft is expected to be replaced, something about his pancreatitis.

Have also heard Powell doesn't expect to serve a 2nd term.

Also interesting is that C. Rice is actively stumping for GWB, wonder if she has higher political aspirations?

These seem like good reasons to not vote for Bush, because he is keeping the same cabinet, for the most part. The same wacked out right-wingers will still be there. I am a little surprised you want them to go.

Are you kidding? hahaha! No, he'd rather "bravely" offer up others to die.

COlin Powell is awesome. If he was a native born US citizen then i wish he would run for president. HOwever even if he was i dont think the country as a whole is ready for a black president. (Im all for it and im white).

Well just think what would happen if Kerry is elected:

He always says how he is going to get us out of everything.... is going to be "Hey guys, its alright, im president now, come on lets go!"

Nope.

I find it odd that somehow Ashcroft managed to escape your list, and he is easily the scariest and most repugnant government official our country has ever seen. I would take 3 Don Rumsfelds if only to get rid of John Asscough.
