I was thinking about if people would be able to give things up after being used to it. For me a cell phone isn't a big deal. I use a pre-paid plan and use about 100 hr/yr.

depends on the nature. is it specific to having it against your head? mere proximity? etc.
I could easily stop using my cellphone and keeping it turned off but around for emergencies (ie: sitting off on the charger at home 99% of the time, but pulled out for road trips)
