Actually, there have been several child kidnappings with high profile coverage in California of kids of several races. Unfortunately, the others were found dead.

I'm glad this one turned out better, and I think the current part of story was overplayed in the media, today, but your cynicism is pathetic. IMHO, your viewpoint is way out of Phocus. :disgust:

What I did like was with all the media coverage yesterday, Elizabeth's father took the opportunity to push the implementation of the Amber Alert System nationwide. He sure did put a couple of Congressmen on the spot....

I think the media coverage had as much to do with HOW she was taken as it did with her being a rich white cute girl. To have someone climb into a bedroom window and kidnap a girl right in front of her sister makes for a very compelling newstory.
