I think Fox news is the greatest thing to ever exist for opposing news media. Whatever Fox does, it makes all other media outlets look fantastic - even though media is all equally biased and spun.

Be thankfully Fox News is obvious bulls**t. It's the stealth media that I am concerned about.

When Fox News originally started, it was a pretty good news source, imo.. Now, it is a horrible mess..

I remember watching Bill O'Reilly rip on people I didn't like or didn't agree with so many times. And I laughed along and thought Bill was so smart. I even bought one of his books.. though I got about a third of the way through it and completely disagreed on his stance on the Drug War. Then, I saw Ron Paul on Bill O'Reilly.. and BillO did his same tactic where he just talked all over Ron Paul and never let him even begin to answer a question. It looked stupid.. actually.. Bill looked stupid. Bill inadvertantly made people like me believe Ron Paul was the guy telling the truth and Bill was spinning everything..

So I started reading about Ron Paul..

What I find hilarious is that many of the folks (some right here in this thread) who rail on, and bitch about, Fox News on a regular basis...always seem to be the ones who apparently watch and listen to it. Otherwise, how would you know what was on there and who said what? Mostly seems to be a bunch of far-left kooks who hate the fact that Fox is so damn successful and their far-left media has been a total failure. (Air America...)

It doesn't take a long time to watch FOX and realize how much propaganda is aired by them. Tonight I watched "George W. Bush: Fighting to the Finish," and getting past the title (which in itself is promotional), it is a total puff piece. They'd interview staffers whose comments would be completely centered around making Bush look good.. 'You know I mention to him a name, and he is the first in the room to ask me 'You've told me about him before,'' or 'The President is by far the most thorough editor I've worked for. I've worked with Buckley, Doe, Smith, and he is always correcting us and pushing for improvement.' Then you get a smiling Condaleeza Rice answering the softest questions possible, telling us how great a vision Bush has.

I'm not saying they have to tear the guy apart, but maybe ask better questions than 'Has your faith been shaken these past 8 years?' or 'Even your critics would concede the surge as worked [(no they wouldn't)], do you think we'll see victory in Iraq before your term is over?' or 'Do you work hard to find bin Laden?' upon answering that he works every day, the reporter fails to bring up his 2004 comments in which he said he doesn't care at all about bin Laden--famous comments that are the reason for the reporter asking the original question.
