One low-carb option is jerky-like turkey sticks. Quarter turkey franks lengthwise, soak for a few days in refrigerator to reduce sodium (add a tablespoon of liquid smoke if desired), and fry for around 15 minutes. A George Foreman Grill works very well.

For the gadget obsessed . . the Chef'n snack slicer cuts uniform frank quarters. Position under a small faucet stream to aid initial hand insertion, prior to using pusher.

Cut quarters in half and place in a travel bar-soap container for portability (movie theater munchies).

The easier-chewing blend option (with string cheese stick).

I just found a single bag of some sort of Mexican Doritos. They're "Tapatio" flavored, whatever that means. Man, these things rock. They're actually kind of spicy.

Well, if we're going to include sandwiches, I could get by on something like this between meals. You know, when I'm feeling a little peckish between lunch and dinner, or maybe just before bed when my tummy begins to growl.

If that's a snack, I'd hate to see what a Meal consists of.

Pretty sure that if you got more than half way through that, you'd literally be eating it for the rest of your life.

I saw those in the store last night, so I doubt they qualify as "Mexican" Doritos.

You don't know what Tapatío is?

Never heard of it. Every Mexican restaurant here and down South has Cholula, which I'm assuming is basically the same thing. They also had a different branding and everything was in Spanish and English, so that's why I'm thinking they're Mexican.

Cholula is much better than Tapatio. Tapatio is alright ( and dirt cheap ) but Cholula seems to have more than that vinegar & peppers taste.

It's totally fair to call them Mexican doritos. FTR, that hot sauce is named Tapatio because it refers to people from Guadalajara, Jalisco where the founders of the hot sauce came from. Granted it is manufactured in California...

On the subject of hot sauces, Valentina is also worth a taste. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Valentina_(hot_sauce)
