If I decide to identify as an African American, am I entitled to Affirmative Action benefits?

If sex/gender are fluid, if a man can be a woman or vice versa because he/she feels like it, why can't one decide they're a different race? Or a different age? Why is that any different? Can I decide that I am a 70 year old African American and be entitled to social security, scolarships, etc.? If not, how can that be explained while still logically saying a man can be a woman or vice versa, based on their feelings?

Don't let your local police hear you...

Why can a man, with xy chromosomes and balls, biologically in every way a man decide he is a woman and expect others to use his (her?) preferred pronouns because he feels like being a woman, under the penalty of law (fk the 1st amendment, right)? But I can't be a minority that I feel like i am? How is it ok for one group to decide they are what they aren't and get treated as such, but not me if I honestly feel like I am an African American male that is decades older than my birth cert says it is? How come in one case reality of what I am biologically doesn't matter but in the other it does?

/still doesn't understand the issue, and will forever not care to understand. Everyone is tired of explaining things to you, so demands that you will consider "all information" are just bullshit, and we know it.

I think you've cracked the case Spidey, I suggest you go try your plan and report back on the results.

I didn't say it'd work, that wasn't the point. That doesn't mean there is logic behind why identifying as xyz race is somehow wrong, but saying you're a woman when you're a man does "work" in society. I'm asking why the two situations are different. So far none of you have anything to offer.

Well if it won't work there must be a reason. I suggest you research it and find out why. Then you can tell us!

Still no explanations. I think that is because there simply isn't a logical explanation.

If I have no DNA that says I'm African American, I'm not. If I don't have the genetic make up to be a woman, who cares? /lib logic

Exactly what benefit are you looking for OP? Please point us to a company or givernment benefit that you are missing out of because you are presumably white?
I’m interested in what you think.

Did you forget Rachel Dolezal? That's your answer.

Maybe a scholarship.

Again, for all the smart leftists here that understand this kind of thing, please explain to me, I'm so very ignorant. If I don't have genetic make up to be an African American, why can't I be an African American if I feel like it? This is the question given that a biological male can decide he is a woman if that's how he feels, use women's rest rooms, expect to be called "she", etc. despite a complete lack of the genetics required to be a woman. This is a simple question guys, please explain.

Mental disability may entitle you to benefits.

There is quite a bit of theory on racial identification being a construct that supersedes biology. Of course, by biology really I mean by observed characteristics for which genetics doesn't really support either.

But I don't think that's what you're asking about anyway. I think you're trying to draw false equivalency to invalidate the idea of a gender identification different than biologic sex.

As I've recommended before you're probably better off just saying 'I don't understand what gender is.'

Try it out and apply for one.
You’ll likely get turned down due to your income but why not give it a shot

The claim you are implying has been made for 30-40 years in various different ways. They have always been proven false to anyone who has any willingness to understand them.
I’m all for giving the less fortunate some help. If you are less fortunate please apply and I really hope you get some assistance.

I suppose that if you're willing to go to the same lengths to be black that transgenders go through then we all could consider you to be black. Start with a full body tattoo to change your skin color, maybe a little facial reconstruction & you can be accepted as black. Go for it.
