If i wanted to get my fingernail checked out, what kind of doctor would I see?

basically, to make a long story short, i was playing basketball, the ball hit my thumbnail straight on, and abou thalf of it bent straight up, hurts like a b*tch but i'd liek to get it check odut today - anyone with an idea of what type of doctor i should see?

No need to see a doctor. It's probably going to fall out, your finger will look funny for a while, and then you'll grow another one.

In the time being, have fun being that guy with the f*cked up fingers like the butler in Scary Movie. :laugh:

I was hammering in a tent stake with a hachet/hammer combo when the head came off and split my thumbnail in half. Took about 6 months to fully regrow. Not much a doctor can do besides give you pain meds or chop off your finger

gawd...ANY MD would be fine...go see your regular doctor, go to one of the "urgent care" clinics, etc...it's not like this is something that requires any specialist for...
