Blah blah blah.

Since Michigan fans may get screwed out of going to the national championship that the second best team in the nation deserves, we should demand that the Flordia supporters eat their humble pie with Flordia gets crushed by 28 points. Like calling the ND/USC game on Oct 22 where i was SOOOO close to USC's win (called 21 and it was 20), I am calling a 28pt victory for OSU over Flordia.

Ironically, Florida not going to national championship means that they would most likely play Notre Dame in the Sugar Bowl. Which should be an easy win for Florida (or any other top 15 team). So Flordia fans are demanding to play OSU--where they will get crushed, instead of hoping to be able to destroy the heavily over-rated ND.

FYI I'm a Wisconsin fan--not a Michigan fan. I have other problems with the BCS--like the #7 in BCS polls not making a BCS game. Maybe my analytical mind is messed up but I feel 5 BCS games would mean teams in 1-10 in the BCS poll would go to BCS games. But it makes much more sense if the best two teams in the nation are in your conference then you shouldn't be allowed to go the BCS game--that only seems fair .

Three things:

1. Michigan's ONLY "quality" win this year was over what you called "the heavily over-rated ND."

2. Maybe if Wisconsin could actually beat a ranked team, and not play The Children's School for the Deaf and Blind every out-of-conference game, the Badgers would have more of an argument. Oh, and not finished THIRD in their conference would help too.

Welcome to 1998 and every year since of the BCS.

Maybe next year Michigan will schedule Western Carolina as their second last game of the year.

Wisconsin also didn't blow any games they were supposed to win unlike other teams still going to the BCS. Do you really think Notre Dame deserves to go to the BCS in front of us?

I personally don't care. I'll be going to the Capital One Bowl to root on the Badgers, who will probably be a huge underdog to the ALMIGHTY SEC team just like last year when Auburn got wiped all over the field.

You also can only have 2 teams from a conference make a BCS bowl, which I think is crap. You can't tell me that Notre Lame deserves a shot in a BCS bowl over Wisconsin or an SEC team like Arkansas who will most likely get left out.

Big 10 and SEC should have 3 teams in BCS bowls this year.

#1. Badgers finished tied for second.
#2. Outside of OSU, UM and Wisco, the Big Ten sucked this year. Nothing the Badgers can do about not playing ranked opponents when the rest of the Big 10 sucks and OSU is not on the schedule.

If you can't manage to win your conference, you don't deserve a berth in the National Championship game.

Edit: And I hate the f'ing Gators.

And even with playing WCU they still have the toughest schedule in the country.

Your arugment about playing WCU and stregth of schedule is based on fallacies.

PERIOD.

UF vs. OSU is the only logical choice.

If OSU plays UM again and UM was to win then they both have 1 loss, and if UF beat ND then they have 1 loss, SO the NT would have to be split between 3 schools. Absolutly retarded.

What don't you UM fans realize:
1. You lost against OSU 2 weeks ago!
2. You didn't even win your conference.
3. You lost your last game of the season.
4. UF is 12-1 in the toughest conference in the country with the toughest schedule.

5. UF is the SEC Chapion.

If UM vs. OSU II happens, the BCS is saying that a 2nd place tem in the Big10 is better than the conference chapion of the SEC, which is the toughest conference in the country.
Does that make any sense at all? NO!

If you look at the facts, and only the facts, it is clear that UF deserves to play for a national championship. All you UM supporters have to offer are what ifs, fallacies, and specutation.

UF vs OSU for #1 spot.
A rematch between Michigan and OSU would be a disaster for BCS.
I'd definitely not watch the game if it is a rematch.
I'm from TX so there is no bias from me, btw.

Welcome to 1998 and every year since of the BCS.

-Iowa's collapse has hurt Wisconsin, because I don't care what their record is, a win in Iowa City is tough.
-Penn State has had a decent year with how much they have lost, their only losses are to #1 OSU, #3 Michigan, #7 Wisconsin, #10 ND
-Wisconsin can't help it that VT doesn't want to play home and home OOC
-People were saying the same thing about Wisconsin last year when we made your GODLY SEC co-school Auburn look like a "Children's School for the Deaf and Blind"

I guess we'll just have to wait and see

I love it when people make lists and number them, particularly when the points are repeated.

I get your drift, but you overstated your case.

My questions are as follows:

1. Michigan v. Florida on a neutral field. Who wins?
2. Michigan v OSU or Florida v. OSU. Which is a closer game on a neutral field?

I think the point would be if a rematch happened and mich managed to win osu would have a very legitimate complaint that it should be shared being both teams split the games. (if the rematch happens though you can be assured the heat will be on the bcs and likely would not survive next year atleast in its present form)

mich already had their chance and lost... florida hasnt and is the only other 1 loss team (that counts) that hasnt had a shot against osu. that said i dont think either team can/will beat osu this year but thats besides the point.

Lets have Florida play in Columbus then. I guarantee they lose by more than 3 points.

Anyone's answer is nothing but opinion. Which is the heart of the reason why the BCS sucks.

UM had the chance to play for the national championship and lost. Why should UM get two chances and Florida none? Florida deserves a shot. Florida played a tougher schedule, that needs to matter.

Anyway for all the hype about OSU, remember they beat 2-10 Illinois 17-10, averaging 2.5 yards per rush in the process. While I think OSU is the best team in the country, if they had been playing a good team that day, they could've easily lost. If they were to play like that against Florida, they'd lose.

Had their shot and lost? In the same way you could say that Florida had their shot and lost to Auburn.

Florida has the #1 toughest schedule.
Michigan has the #3 toughest schedule.

Wow, big advantage to Florida there.

Florida had their shot to win all of their games too. They didn't.

Do you really think that a OSU v Florida in Glendale is equal to OSU v. Florida in Columbus? Because that is what you are saying when you say "Michigan had their shot". That argument is crap. If (and I believe when) Florida plays OSU in Glendale, it won't even be close to the same environment that Michigan had to play in in Columbus.

What was Florida's best win on the road? A one-point win against a three-loss Tennessee team?

If people actually looked at the numbers and how close they are, they would understand how asinine comparing the #1 and #3 schedules in the nation really is.

I agree. Florida loses by at least ten points in a OSU v Florida game in Glendale.

It's just like I asked. If Michigan plays Florida on a neutral field, who wins?

Michigan is the better team, but I want to see Florida get steamrolled so I can laugh at all of the idiot Gator fans who think that their team is good enough to compete.

This is the problem with the system. People say that Michigan is the better team but really how do you know? Michigan played three teams that matter. Lost to 1 and beat 2 handily. The one they steamrolled we all know is overrated based on the same result handed down by USC. They beat Wisconsin who has not beaten any other team this year that matters. Have you seen their non-conference schedule? Bowling Green, Western Illinois, San Diego State, Buffalo? Are you kidding me? I will stand by my belief that a conference that allows one team to go undefeated and two others to close out with 1 loss to be a very week conference as far as the mid-lower level teams go.

Also, let's go back to the Michigan/Ohio State game. It is a rivalry game, no? Aren't rivalry games typically close no matter how good the teams are? Ohio State gifted Michigan at least 10 points by giving them two unforced fumbles. We are supposed to reward Michigan for this? I watched that game. It looked to me like Ohio State pretty much beat them a lot worse than the score indicated. Just my opinion though.

But how do you KNOW they are the second best team in the country? The sad thing is we have to have an OSU/Florida game to KNOW. And I hate the Gators too.

It is so stpuid to speculate about UM being so much better than UF. You simply don't know that. What we do know FOR A FACT is that OSU is better than UM.

UM's claim to play for the title is popycock. You simply DO NOT DESERVE TO PLAY BASED ON THE FACTS!

And when you get to play LSU and lose, you will know what a good team from a great conference is all about.

What are these "facts" you speak of? And if UM doesn't go to the title game then they will be in the Rose Bowl versus USC. I would love to play LSU though. Then we could find out who the better conference is. OSU vs Fla. UM vs LSU. Wisc vs Ark. That would be a great slate of games.

y'know, I think UF deserves it more than UM (and I also hate the Gators ), but regardless of which team gets the nod, I hope both win their bowl game.

That's not because I hate OSU or anything, but if three teams finish with one loss it just makes the BCS look even worse and hopefully gets us one step closer to a playoff.

The Harris poll (the key one I think) won't be revealed until after the 8 pm selection show on Fox.
