If President Bush works with the Democrats to bring real change over the next 2 years will you give him praise?

Ah -- I see. It's all well and good to wrap yourself in "conservative values" like "law and order" and punishment to fit the crime... until it comes to the worst possible crimes against every citizen of the United States. THEN, you want to move on and sweep it under the rug as if we could just ignore the catastrophic damage they've wreaked against the nation and the world.

These assholes willingly and wantonly caused the deaths of thousands of Americans, they have condemned tens or hunderds of thousands of other Americans to lives of pain and impairment and otherwise shortened by their wounds, and they have imposed burdens upon yet hundreds of thousands more of their family members and friends who will bear the added burdens of caring for them in their suffering.

I'm pretty sure you'd want to see any individuals convicted of murder, rape, kidnapping, child abuse, bank robbery, drag racing or littering given the punishment specified by law for their crimes. That's the way our society deals with those who violate the laws of our nation and its various localities.

What kind of human being are you that you are so willing to "forgive and forget" the evil done by those whose crimes are of such monstrous magnitude that they have forever indelibly scarred and stained the history of our nation and the entire world?

Those who do not learn from the past are condemned to repeat it.

but you see, I do not believe that they committed any crimes. The funny thing is that Pelosi and Co. agree with me on this one... anyone with half a brain cell knows that the Dems have done their homework on the issue and have chosen to refrain from going after the Admin... why do you think that is?

It's because actual criminal allegations would be next to impossible to prove EVEN IF they did commit any crimes.. which I do not believe they did. they walked a fine line, but I do not agree with any of your criminal accusations... not one.

You'll notice that Pelosi is not moving for immediate impeachment, but for serious oversight. Once we get a good look into the internal workings of the administration, we'll see...

No, the Democrats ("Pelosi and Co.") have NOT said that. They have called for the facts, and now that they have the power to hold hearings and subpoena the evidence, they have stated that they want to see what the facts show.

You'll have to do more than spin their selected words on a forum to make the leap from that to agreeing that the Bushies didn't commit any crimes.

Nancy Pelosi:
"Impeachment is off the table"
"It's a waste of time"
"Yes, it's a pledge, of course it is"
"making them lame ducks is good enough for me"

like i said, don't hold your breath.

So you will also supporther in letting the tax cuts expire, increasing the minimum wage, providing more, cheaper perscription drugs to more seniors, and her views on changing things in Iraq?

I wonder how many of those things GWB is willing to sign into law in order to not get impeached? Maybe Nancy just isn't the right person for this job anyway? I personally don't see her hanging onto this position for long. I don't think she is representative of the kind of people that were elcted and that pushed the Dems back into power in the congress.

He doesn't deserve praise for the sorts of compromises he's forced to make now.

If he were to really make some sort of change for the better - well, it's just not going to happen in my view, any more than Michael Moore is going to come out for killing all the poor people. It's not his agenda. His agenda is to support a small group of the ultra powerful and wealthy, at the expense of the common good.

Look, most here are deciding whether he's doing well or not based on his approval rating and the last election.

But in fact Bush has been a huge success for his agenda - the trillions in redirected money are all still under his policies. He has won, the nation has lost. They expect a backlas; and could hardly care less when the money is still going to them under his policies.

It'd be like a bank robber getting caught and exposed, punished by society's criticism, but not imprisoned and getting to keep the loot.

Probably not, 2 years of honest work does not make up for 6 years of corruption and abuse.

It's kind of like the claim of cutting the deficit in half in five years or whatever he said. Sure, it will happen, but the policies that caused it in the first place were his.

I'll be upfront with you, NO. He has done just too much harm to this coutnry to ever make up a fraction of it within 2 yrs. Would you give praise to a mass murderer in prison who suddenly decides to turn a new leaf before he's executed?

So, as you can see, I don't even need to answer that question, because he won't/
