You know the origin of "Bells and Whistles" comes from the early Wurlitzer Organ days when you could get deluxe models that came with all kinds of crazy stuff in addition to regular pipes--trumpets, drums, flutes, bells, and even whistles!

It's not exactly a new thing.

Currently, my most hated overused phrase is "back in the day". Don't people understand how stupid they look picking up every new phrase that comes along and using it in every conversation?

Other most annoying phrases:

"touch base"
"playing phone tag"
"pushing the envelope"
"think outside the box" (as previously posted)
"dis" This drives me crazy. Its supposed to be short for "disrespect", as in "don't dis me". "Disrespect" isn't even a verb, for goodness sake. This is just stupid.
