OK, so the guy walks up to you, you are in the car at traffic lights, you aren't paying attention the guy opens your door (it is unlocked) grabs you pulls you out of the car, drops you on the road gets in the car, and attempts to drive away, This is the situation.

My absolutely favorite handgun was a stainless Colt Gold Cup National Match series 70. The 1911 design when properly executed is excellent. I could easily shoot a hand sized target consistently at 50 meters, and that's quite good I think. Ahh, the days of Black Talons.

The fact is, in real life you have absolutely no idea what the thief is willing to do in order to get your car. If someone is willing to steal a car, who knows what other shitty decisions they've made.
