House + Car != Human Life.

With out shelter and transporation, people die.

The thief did, he didn't think anyone valued a car over life.

He won't make that mistake again and maybe his friends will think again before trying it.

So kill them?

Your idea, not mine.

Two wrongs.

This is the crux of your idiosy. If someone put a gun to your head and was about to kill you and you had the means to kill them first, you would not? Wow.

People become thieves when down on their luck. It could happen to anyone.

There are people who are car thieves for a living. It is their job. And many of them make a LOT of money at it. They are not down on their luck - they are scum.

He's going to use his big sexy muscles and an angry face.

They are stating: Your life is worthless, You property is worthless: Your time is worthless etc etc. But if someone came up to me in the street and shouted that at me I wouldn't shoot them in the face. Regardless of how much they devalued me.

shouting at me does not have any financial impact on me
jacking my car does.

Of course, because I value my life over their life, but I don't value my car over there life, nor should I.

shouting at me does not have any financial impact on me
jacking my car does.

So money is worth more than life?

He punches you in the face, the worst you will get from it is a black eye or broken nose. He will not, kill you, he tells you this.

OK let me rephrase. Expressing devaluation of someone else's life != execution.

again expressing how? expressing VERBALLY is nothing, only expressing via ACTION matters. said person is expressing their lack of value in human life when they decide to steal property from me that I have spent my time trying to acquire. Time is the currency of life, so they are devaluing my life. It's quite fucking simple really.

So because someone has expressed to you through an action that they value their life more than yours you have the right to execute them?

And this is what the fuck I have been saying the whole goddamn time. The vehicle might be replaceable, but the time I invested into achieving it is not. There is no coin return for time.

He will not, kill you, he tells you this.

This is true in your hypothetical, but how can you believe someone who has just harmed you in the real world? How do you know what he will or won't do?

If I were armed and someone attempted to assault me, I'd draw and issue a command to stop. If he sees the gun and comes at me then he has disregarded the consequences of his actions and it's prudent to assume deadly intent. Attacking an armed man is not a rational act.

If you get your car back you haven't lost any time.

In the situation you're describing? Yes. If they want to force their opinion, that their life is worth more than mine, I will force(quite brutally) my opinion on them.

They seem more to be valuing your property more than your, or, their lives.

He is naked, unarmed.

You've never, not a single fucking time, ever talked to a car jacker/thief have you? lol, get your car back? Sure, if the police find it in the first 6 hrs I might get SOME of it back. But why risk that? Why risk MY LIFE and MY TIME, when I can just end theirs and boom no risk to me whatsoever. All the dude had to do was not steal my car, but nope he decided to. The decision to kill him was made long before he decided to steal my car, he should have known that.

If I'm not in the car nope, not going to kill them over it.

If I AM in the car they're going to most likely get killed/injured. Simple statistics indicate car jackings seldom end with the criminal driving merrily off in the car and the driver healthy and whole watching him. I'm sorry, but it's like a home invasion - not going to wait around to find out exactly HOW evil the criminal's intentions are, because again, it's too late to kill 'em if they killed you first!!

So how is he trying to steal my car? How am I supposed to be intimidated by a naked unarmed man? Like I said, I don't think you have any grasp on what the fuck you're talking about. You think you're smart, but really you just come off more and more like an idiot.

Oh fuck no. I worked my ass off to pay off my car. If I caught someone trying to steal my car I'd skip the wimpy handgun and go straight for the bruiser.
