maybe they should lower prices...

WTF, another crazy ass post complaining about their prices.

You want them to lower the price of a large coffee from $1.80 to what? Nothing?

Their prices are fair market prices - or even better. I went to a local coffee shop here and it cost more to get less when compared to Starbucks; which is something I have noticed at other coffee joints locally.

Why so angry? And Starbucks have ALWAYS charged premium prices for their coffee compared to other competition. They subscribe to the idea that because they are offering you "quality" products, you pay for it.

Yes, I have. If anything, their "revamped" coffee is even worse than what they had before.
Hmm...yet they're stealing away market share from Starbucks. How is that possible?
Cater to the lowest common denominator. There will always be those willing to consume inferior food products if they save a buck or two in the process. That may as well be the McDonald's corporate slogan, anymore.

But McDonalds has always had coffee. BK sells coffee too. Tim Horton's specializes in coffee...so if it's about saving a buck, why aren't they major players too? They're all cheaper than Starbucks.

Lowest common denominator checking in here. I like Micky Dees gourmet roast. But I prefer the French blend from La Madeline.

Can't support La Madeline. Websites shouldn't play music when you load them, it's very 90's.

Yes only because I am trying to find work in Seattle and I don't need more layoffs around here.. but the new radio commercials I hear of theirs are terrible I can't imagine it bringing in any new business.

The fact that companies like McDonalds can make coffee just as good for 1/5 the price shows how their whole business model was based on price gouging.

It is amazing that people will just make shit up about the price of Starbucks products. Yes granted one can buy a crazy oddball frap that is probably $5 but for a standard coffee and for espresso drinks their prices are competitive, or otherwise effectively the same, with all other places to get coffee.

It is just an outright lie to say that coffee cost $4 or $5 - I think a small is like a buck, and here I believe a large (venti?) is $2.60. I typically get a grande (medium) skim latte that is $3.40. However espresso drinks do typically cost more. If I recall correctly Starbucks is cheaper than Dunkin Donuts and is the same as our local fancy grocery store (Wegmans).

Sounds like a marketing problem.

McDs coffee is decent.

My problem is after drinking Starbucks coffee (drip, black) all the coffee from budget places tastes like water. It's far too weak.
