army has planes too and paratroopers, they get my vote.. how they would take out the subs is questionable, they'd have to team up with someone.

I really think Army. They have the largest aircraft inventory. Not the Airforce.

Army would win easily.
I don't care how many bombs you drop.
Unless you can put troops on the ground, it ain't yours.
exactly my thoughts (though I am not sure if the Army or Marines would win). ok, the USAF and Navy would cause extremely heavy losses, but they do not have a bomb for every soldier. Furthermore, the Army/Marines are trained more for individual combat. One other thing. Depending on how it starts, the Army would have a much greater geographical advantage. The reserve components are spread over the entire country, meaning that the Army would have an immediate response, whereas the USAF would be slowly gearing up.
I'm going to have to disagree with you... there are AFB and AFReserves everywhere.
True, but AF does not = infantry trained
umm wrong. Air Force Security Forces go through a lot of infrantry training. I seem to remember 8 weeks at Ft Dix going through that crap after i graduated from the Security Police Academy. Blowing off claymores is pretty damn fun.

As of 2002 the US Army had 487k active duty whereas the USAF had368k. I am assuming that the reserves are larger for the Army. All Army soldiers are trained primarily as infantry (thoguh not to the extent of Marines). From my understanding, the USAF is not that way. What percentage is Security Forces?

I mean seriously, the air force have to find us first, and then we'd attack their bases. They have no ground attack force, they'd die in a heartbeat.
Same goes for the Navy.
The Army would be a little harder, but the average soldier is nowhere near as well trained as the average Marine.
