i think you have the wrong idea. we're not going to kill them for surrendering but they do have to surrender. if they are retreating, they are not surrendering and then they should be pursued and killed until they do surrender. if their leadership will not allow them to surrender they should either mutiny, find a way to surrender on their own, or suffer the consequences of being in the losing army.

We have 2 options here.

1. Get as many of them as we can while they retreat(retreat is not surrender).

2. Let them flee to the mountains to fight the guerrilla war they have promised. This will only drag out the suffering on all sides. This will slow down humanitarian efforts. This will slow down the rebuilding of afganistan. This will slow down the peace effort. War is war, are there are few rules.

The sooner this is over, the sooner we can get things back to normal.

What puzzles me about the whole conflict is how they let the enemy soldiers switch sides. This whole switching sides stuff is bull$hit. Either kill them or take them prisoner. Giving them the opportunity to switch sides lets this terrible people off too easy. As far as the retreating troops - Kill them too! Waste em. If we don't they will just regroup and continue. When I was in the marines, we had orders on the rifle range, that if we spotted any illegal aliens coming across the range, we were to shoot them on site.

What I meant was that unless/until they surrender they should be considered as combatants and treated accordingly.

If they're retreating, they should be attacked while they are retreating. If they surrender their weapons and are simply heading home, they should be tracked but not attacked. Each one should be searched as they leave and leaders should be arrested. It makes no sense to let them out of an area where they're bottled up so they can disperse and continue to attack for months to come.

Afghanistan is not exactly at the forefront of International Trade, nor does it have a large number US immigrants, so there were probably fewer Afghanis in the WTC than people of, say Japan.

no i was talking about the bombing of afghanistan. We've never seen any damaga and what exactly is going on down there. Like in wtc they showed people jumping and waving from the building. And all the pople hurt on the street. Recently i saw some general talking about the bomb that explodees in the air andburns all the pople on the gournd. If they show pictures of what that does, maybe people would change their minds on how they support the war campain. Fox new is the wortst by far. that a good point. One thing that still bothers - when they planned the attack, they sure must have realized that theres gonna be counterinitiative. And form the severity of the wtc attack, its hard to believe that they couldnt fortell that us will destroy their little club. The qquestion is why did they do it. One thing i can think of their whole goal was to get us to fight on the same level as they do. Answer violence with violence, and use brute force instead of common sense.
