Think what his cabinet might look like.

Surgeon General - Memit Oz
Attorney General - Matt Gaetz

what cabinet positions would be fitting for...
  • Keri Lake
  • MTG
  • Bobert
  • Kristi Noem
  • Don Jr.
  • Eric

... I'm feeling a little nauseous, so I'll stop here...

Not to intrude, but I'm kinda getting sick of Biden. I am definitely NOT Trump or DeSantis or that other weirdo with the funny name that I don't even care to try to learn to pronounce.
What irritates me about Biden is his complete lack of addressing the high prices and gouging going on in the stores. Food prices!!!

But what really ticks me off is when these people on CNN and MSNBC say thing like YOUR DOLLAR IS GOING FURTHER NOW THAN EVER BEFORE, or when they claim INFLATION HAS GONE DOWN IN THE LAST FEW MONTHS. Really?
Have any of them actually look at prices lately? Every time I buy something in any store, not just Walmart, the price has increased by dollars. Not by cents or tens of cents, but one and two dollars. Stuff that was 3.98 a month ago is now 6.98. And stuff that was 1.99 a week ago is now 3.99.

Its one thing to dislike Donald Trump or Ron DeSantis and that weird guy with the weird name, but when Biden is MIA on what people are dealing with out there in the world, and then trying to act like we are stupid by telling people HOW WONDERFUL the economy is getting. Well, THAT really pisses me off. Not only are they lying to us, but they think we are fools. They think that we can't see for ourselves how the cost of everything is still way out of control.
it is not getting better. And I don't know what the hell Joe Biden is doing about this, if anything. Joe acts like OH WELL, THAT'S CAPITALISM FOR YA.

Excuse my French, but bullshit.

Inflation is a global problem, and the US is fairing better than most industrialized countries.

But those that traded in their country for a fucking red hat simply find facts, and reality beyond their comprehension.

What role did that guy who looked and acted like the spirit of Goebbels have? Surely he'll make a comeback?

Joe is fine.

We do NOT want federal price controls in most areas, but we DO want it in drug prices.

Millions of people with your level of understanding of economics and the powers of the Presidency all vote. This fact terrifies me.

lol but it is capitalism though. Government can’t and shouldn’t interfere with pricing. Sure they can provide incentives to certain markets to aid and hopefully they’ll lower prices. But it isn’t in the power of POTUS to force price restrictions.

And your MAGAtard family is rubbing off on you since your spewing the idiotic inflation is magically only affecting the US???

Federal price controls on basics would be nice..

Idaho Potatoes are double from $1.99/ 5 lbs to $3.99
Olive Oil has doubled from $7.99/ 3 liters to $15.99
Loaf of Bread has doubled from $1.49 to $2.99
Eggs were up to $7 a dozen but back down to $2.49 a dozen (still a bit on the high side)
Chicken/ Beef/ Pork all still 80%-100% above what it was 2 years ago.
Even Milk.

I understand land lords will always keep increasing rents.. that's not on the President but at least food should be cheap for the working poor (former middle class).

We're not all Chris Christie who has a 6 figure salary and spends $900 on every shopping visit to the supermarket.

If there's one issue that will sink Biden, it will be this. Even if it's not his fault, the GOP will look to tie it into Build Back Better and prior COVID relief spending. And yes, I know, Trump was the first one to cut everyone a COVID check (remember he wanted his face and signature on the checks LOL), but facts seldom matter to iNdEPeNdENt voters.

The simple counter to that is to point out US inflation is among the lowest in all developed countries, and that it has been steadily decreasing over the last X months since the Inflation Reduction act was passed. Followed with swift line or two about how corporate profits are up record amounts to redirect the anger where it really should be going.

None of the prices in post 11 are true in my area generally. Eggs are $1.50 or less, bread is a buck or less for basic versions. Chicken is below what it was in many cases. I don't buy exotic oils, so can't comment on that one. Milk is $4 or under ... I've seen it under $3 lately.

Imagine what Joe could have accomplished without an obstructionist congress.

I live in one of the most expensive areas of Brooklyn and none of this is true for me. It sounds like you need shopping tips?

It is weird how you live in this bizarro NYC where everything is super dangerous and also super expensive. I honestly don’t know what world you live in.

Gotta love how people think a President can wave some wand and magically make prices lower.

Macroeconomics are complicated and some trends take years to manifest. Congress has a lot to say about it, as do the rich fucks that live in the stock market. I don't know much about it myself but I know that it's not simple. That's why when people say dreck like "balance the government like you balance your household budget" I back away before the moron drips off on me.

If prices rise before the election, there will be a lot of reasons, and one of them will be that certain parties will want to make Biden look bad. Gas prices in particular, if those go up right before the elections I'll be less than surprised. The Saudis know who their "friends" (ok, tools) are.

Just look at who benefitted from Trump's biggest "accomplishment", Tax "Reform". You had Paul Ryan jabbering about some lady getting her Netflix bill paid every month (well, for the first year at least!) while members of Congress saved millions of dollars in that deal. They basically said fuck you to 98% of the country and they got applauded by half of it.

^^^ This should be the PSA pinheads should be forced to take in until it effing sticks.
What’s funny is the same people who argue for price controls would then complain about shortages as if the two weren’t directly related.

Price controls are dumb.

Shame on President Biden for not ending the *checks notes* drought in southern Europe that has cratered olive production. Trump would have gotten that deal done.

This thread is reminding me of the gas thread, haha.

Really though I think this is another one of those things that's sort of related to the 'Trump will get away with it' fan fiction we see elsewhere. For whatever reason liberals really enjoy feeling panic.

I'm curious what you think Biden is going to do about the price of Olive Oil given that almost all of it is imported.

You go in and take the oil. You just take the oil, ok?
Maybe we need to replace olive oil with "Patriot Oil", the home grown domestic alternative.

A special blend of fracked petroleum products with which you can own the libs every time you fry a Twinkie. We'll just exempt it from that commie FDA regulation. Food is energy for humans so we should have the Department of Energy "regulate it". Regulate in this case means pre-empting any state regulation that would prevent Patriot Oil from hitting the market.
