I actually knew this person in RL - was who introduced me to Anandtech Forums way back before FuseTalk. You know, back when you can check in once a day and still catch up with new posts in a half hour. NowhereMan was actually a RL friend of mine as well as an employee in my (back then) company.
Well, I guess y'all are just too... new, to know NowhereMan. BTW, the handle NowhereMan was the inspiration for the fake entity NowhereMom that Dentalfloss invented and killed off. Also, IIRC NowhereMan was the one who started the infamously-long "butter" thread.
NowhereMan also was the first person I know of in RL to get a Celeron 300A and an Abit BH6. That Celly (I may still have it) could do 600MHz if it sat in the freezer for a half hour. Seriously, NowhereMan would put it in a ziplock bag and freeze it, then pop it in the board and use it for a few minutes.
Indeed NowhereMan is still mentioned on Anandtech! Look at the very last line of this Anandtech article.
NowhereMan also ran our Quake 3 clan server for me (on my company's T1). Indeed someone back in 2001 was reminiscing about NowhereMan
here, and even mentioned our Clan of the Bloody Fist Quake 3 server.
I guess the legacy of NowhereMan is lost in the mists of internet time.
