If you fear a specific instant because someone from the future tells you you will die then and as a result you modify your behavior, meaning you will no longer die at that time, then why would they tell you you would die at that time in the first place, thus prompting you to modify your behavior?

Or trying to avoid it puts you in a situation where death comes earlier. Or you could avoid a heart attack at 55 years old but then come down with cancer where you die a slow and painful death at 60yrs.

I like having things planned out. This would let me know when to prepare to depart. If it was after I was 70, I wouldn't worry about it. If it was while I was young I would be a bit more concerned.

I say yes, but if presented to the opportunity and somehow I knew the source was 100% accurate, I don't know if I'd truly have the balls to actually say yes. Knowing that would just be so messed. Death is not something one normally counts down or anticipates, but knowing the exact date would probably change how life is.

Knowing would also allow me to make the most of life though. Near the end I can just put everything on credit knowing I'll be dead by the time it's due.
