I think being someone like Shaun White (but with two planks) would be an incredible life. Travel to beautiful locations, enjoy an extremely fun sport, and bask in the limelight of public adoration and sponsorship money when you win an Olympic gold medal for your country.

Yeah, the injuries might suck.

My other choice would be soccer.

If you detest golf obviously you wouldn't choose it, but if you enjoy it at least a bit it's the way to go.

Flying all around the world to incredibly beautiful places, playing fantastic courses, being part of the most elite social circles, making millions well into your 70s.

Not to mention - no chance of another golfer ending your career on any given swing.

Easy, golf. You stand to make a shitload of money and can continue to do so well into your 50's via the Champions Tour. Odds of getting seriously injured are very low. The only real downsides are the constant travel and probably getting melanoma at some point in your life.

seriously, it's insanely taking on the body, in very specific ways.

Just depends on a few things, and how seriously you take/how much effort you put into recovery and maintenance.

Rotational injuries are very very common in baseball, and are often career ending.

It's not likely to be something that is caused by someone else at some random point in time... most likely, it'll happen slowly over a period of time until the wear and tear is enough to finally cause the big injury, though sometimes it can happen out of the blue to otherwise healthy tissue.
