Cricket. I don't even know how to play but it doesn't look that physical, so I would be able to enjoy my money down the road.

Bad snap, bad hold, it get's blocked, wind carries it...ect. Plenty of things can go wrong without even factoring in the kicker.

Yeah. Even if you had a robotic, bionic leg that could kick 100y FG perfectly straight, the other elements could kill you. Stupid holder not doing laces out or fumbling. Stupid snapper with a bad snap. Stupid line letting free runners come through to block the kick. Stupid gust of wind that's unexpected. Bad turf.

The thing about the 80y FG is risk/reward too. If you miss it, the opponent automatically gets at least a FG most of the time since they'd be at the 30 so even if you could do it, the coach would punt most of the time unless it was end of half or end of game.

Does boxing announcer count (Michael Buffer)?

Wow, 5M per fight is stupid crazy money for 5 words. Haha.

A red ball harder than a baseball traveling at your ribcage 150km/h with not much protection. Or one against the helmet. Thats a instant concussion or a broken nose.

Basketball.

I try to play as much basketball as I can, and have since I was 10. If I could actually be good at it and make it into a job I would do it in a heartbeat. I have always wanted to dunk a basketball, and the best I could do was be able to grab rim. As an elite basketball player I would certainly get that extra six inches I need to get the ball over the rim and dunk. Anything on top of dunking a basketball would be just gravy.

If we're going to be unrealistic then how about a batter that can nail home runs every at bat. Or shooter that can nail 3's from backcourt? The list goes on.

Not 80yds exactly but one that can toe a ball further than any one else. I mean tell me what you consider be a long field goal?

Then theres Francios Steyn who could kick the ball over from his own 22 metre line at his old high school rugby field. He hit one close to 60 meters in NZ at low altitude. At high altitude the ball goes way further and a rugby ball is bigger and heavier

That happens like when once every how many games?

It's not only that. But when there's a line to block, kickers have to kick it much higher than desired to clear the blockers. The top NFL kickers, if you watch them pre-game, practice from 70-75 yards out and make them. Kickoffs routinely travel more than 75 yards too off the tee (i.e. today's playoff games had multiple kickoffs out of the back of the end zone), which is semi-similar to the rugby penalty kick. During the game, placekicks scale down to about 60-65 yards because of the increased need for a high trajectory and the fact that it's placed directly on the ground instead of a tee. In Denver, Praeter could easily do about 65-70. He's hit 59 middle of the uprights high before.

So, while 80 is a stretch, I could easily see 70 in Denver. I do sometimes wonder if it's worth it to move the ball back further so the kicker can kick it lower on the super long kicks but that makes accuracy more challenging.

I was about to say a boxer that is so fast that never gets hit. I get to be in amazing shape, beat the crap out of people, and dont have to worry about my brain going to smush.

Golf = bank

So Golf.

......You're outside in the green. it's pretty quiet. And you don't have sweaty dudes riding up against you or beating the shit out of you.

Golf. It is not even a question.
HUGE $$ payouts.
You follow incredible weather year round.
You play in some of the most gorgeous locations on earth.
Pampered beyond belief.
Not nearly as physically taxing/dangerous as any other sport.

This isn't even a question.

If you're referring to now, I'm too old to play anything except golf (which I hate). If you mean any tme in life, I would've loved to have played in the NFL when younger.

I suppose if you consider auto racing a sport, I could still do that, but I don't consider it a sport.

If I were just a bit taller, #2 starting pitcher for a perennial contender in MLB. I would have a bionic arm that's indestructible. 15 game winner w/ high 200 ERA. I would play for 1 team for my entire career...
