If you could have 3 arcade cabinets in your livingroom or mancave?

I would have to go with

it holds a special place in my heart for various reasons.

First game I ever beat. Wonder if I could do it now?

Couldn't afford to beat it as a kid.

Also need a Streetfighter pinball game. You cannot win if you walk away! Insert another quarter!

I'm pretty sure my college made more money through that machine than they did from tuition.

I would love a Golden Tee machine if I could afford it.

I debated over Gauntlet in my head...but you need other people to truly enjoy the game. I have fond memories of playing it at the mall in Calgary with my big bro.

That machine was beside my first pick. The older guys would monopolize Defender which left me Make Trax beside it. It was alll good...i learned how to beat Defender/Stargate while still holding the neighbourhood record for Make Trax.

Wasn't the best but had a lot of fun playing defender whats funny was a quite some time before I realized there was a radar for off-screen on the bottom lol.

Arcade games get boring after awhile. I'd have three vintage pinball machines. I never get tired of pinball. Not sure which ones though. I'd have to trial them first. I'll even supply the quarters.

1 - some kind of bullet hell game
2 - light gun shooter of some kind
3 - fighting game...while KI is my favorite, i think the number of characters in something like MvC makes it a little more interesting as far as "hey let's go play this game"

Gauntlet is a good idea but it doesnt make my list. These are genuine, vintage arcade cabinets, ye?

I would go for:

1. Pengo
2. Vanguard
3. Time Pilot

The first two because, although they are shit in gameplay, the music is the most amazing chiptune ever - when delivered through that cabinet, with those speakers.
And Time Pilot because i like to play it. I genuinely rubbed my skin off on that game.

Notable mention for Sinistar again for the sounds; Beware, I live!! I hunger!!

Crossbow was pretty darn sick too ..and so was Heavy Barrel.

I'm not a huge fan of arcade games, but I do like Soul Calibur, so I guess I'd have that and two pinball machines.

Tekken > any other fighting game

Does anyone remember an arcade game, of the lightgun sort, that was all pretendered like dragons lair, based in the Old West ??

Teenage mutant ninja turtles multiplayer
Area 51 - I spent a shitload of quarters on this game in the past
Pacman for classic
I'll cheat and say I would have a mortal kombat for a fighter as well.

So many Gauntlet here ...

(I did find out that game, it was the 1984 Badlands)

No Dig Dugs? No Donkey Kongs? Guys, you disappoint me.

1) Probably either Addams Family or Medieval Madness pinball machine, or Attack from Mars
2) Space Harrier (the one where you sit in the moving chair)
3) A MAME cabinet

I actually have a Black Knight 2000 pinball machine and I love it, but something more modern with deeper rules/challenges would be awesome. I'll work on #3 at some point, and if I ever see #2 for sale (highly unlikely) and I have enough room for it, I'll pick it up. I played it at Fun Spot a few months ago and it was my favorite machine there.

Actually i did find it after posting, it was 1984 (not 1989) Badlands. It was a set of prerendered videos and a single "shoot" button. All you had to do was shoot at the right time, which generally was when the video showed the bad guy draw first.
We spent a shitton of quarters on that game which is how i measure awesomeness.
