Once I got a Pandora Box, I got all my classic arcade games needs filled.

Pinball machine (Adams Family or Twilight Zone) and a vector based arcade system (mostly just Tempest, though Asteroids is pretty good too). Everything else can be easily emulated.

Killer Instinct
Killer Instinct 2
Hydro Thunder

I would say “Neo Geo MVS 6-slot” since that gives you a bunch of great games but then I realized that it would be a waste of an arcade slot when I can have a Neo Geo AES and Neo Geo CD in addition to my Hydro Thunder sit-down cab.

1) Probably either Addams Family or Medieval Madness pinball machine, or Attack from Mars
2) Space Harrier (the one where you sit in the moving chair)
3) A MAME cabinet

I actually have a Black Knight 2000 pinball machine and I love it, but something more modern with deeper rules/challenges would be awesome. I'll work on #3 at some point, and if I ever see #2 for sale (highly unlikely) and I have enough room for it, I'll pick it up. I played it at Fun Spot a few months ago and it was my favorite machine there.
Man, the ending of this makes me choke up:

No Space Harrier for me because my friend has the sit-down cab. Sit-down cabs seem to be extra special to me. I had the dual sit-down Virtua Racing late last year and I’d really love to try out the suspended one for F-Zero AX.

Good luck with AF or MM pinballs lol. For those who don't know late year Williams pinball prices have skyrocketed since they are no longer made and are some of the best pinball games ever.

I had a Black Tiger arcade machine for a few years but they honestly get boring after some time. Love pinball though.

Left to Right: Space Station, Haunted House, Funhouse, Time Machine, Xenon, Can't see it here, but I also built a full size virtual pinball cabinet.

Personally, mine would be a list of 3 fighters.

But I had a 4 player cabinet I redid in my apartment after college. It was running Mame, of course, and had tons of games. When I had parties at my house the number one game people wanted to play without question was NBA Jam. We use to have tournaments and pretty much everyone joined guy or girl. No other game was as popular as Jam.

Probably NBA Jam and SF II Turbo. Or Tempest. Or Samurai Showdown.

But I'd rather have pinball machines.

Mame cabs are still arcade cabinets so that. In 3 configurations. A 6 player cab, a 2 player cab with trackball and maybe something with those ikari warriors controls? Also need a cabinet with lightgun support! Probably the ikari warriors controls.

And on top of all this, get an NES emulator on the cab since it is from the 80s and the emulation is top notch.

Just cabs:
NBA Jam (I'd have to research which ROM pack specifically)
Mortal Kombat (Just because it was a favorite)
Neo Geo cab with complete game collection! If i had to pick 4 games, probably Samuri showdown, metal slug 3 and a few others (probably 2 more fighters).

Anyone that loved street fighter 2 and mortal kombat that never experienced Neo Geo fighters .... you missed out!

I would still love to build a virtual pinball machine. I know in my heart I wouldn't use it all that much, but it would be a fun project anyway.

My wife would want three pinball machines. I just prefer to play games, on the computer.

Surprised there are so few mentioning shooter games. Area 51 was amazing fun and a total waste of quarters when i was growing up:

I avoided shooter type arcade machines because they reminded me of going to the CNE or carnivals and spending lots of money and not winning.

One would have to be Joust since I played competitively. I still play the MAME rom occasionally but I'd love to feel a real Joust cabinet again.

The other two would take some thinking.

Perhaps Jr. Pacman, maybe the original Ghosts and Goblins so I could spend the rest of my life trying to get to that damn castle.

I played a ton of it and got really good but it’s an experience that was duplicated near perfectly on home consoles soon after. Hydro Thunder, Daytona USA, Space Harrier, etc just weren’t the same at home.

I own one and it's more than enough. It's in my garage though. With emulators and all that crap, having a cabinet isn't really worth it. Sure it's cool and all, but that's about it. I haven't turned mine on in a long time. I said one day I'd turn it into a mame cabinet but that hasn't happened and don't know if/when it will. Maybe when my son is older and we want to have a project to do together.

Oh yeah, and I own a Killer Instinct 2 cabinet and I have KI1 in there. I also own KI2, MK1, and MK2 PCB's.

You have two of the PCBs I’ve always wanted (KI & KI2). Only 2 PCBs I own are pretty redundant...

...not just because they are both MVS, but I already have an AES. Already have both of those titles on AES too. Only other MVS game is Bust-A-Move/Puzzle Bobble (never released for AES).

Really need to expand the MVS collection.
