Alrighty--

Many many posts here on ATOT, about new trucks, and civics, so on and so forth.

If these three cars were priced at the SAME PRICE. Which would you choose AND WHY?

2000/2001 Benz, some type of E class, or CLK or something
2000/2001 BMW probably 3 or 5 Model.
2004/2005 Truck, lets take a ford f150 or dodge ram as an example.

The prices that I am commin up with are based on Blue Book value's and what I found on Ebay.
From my findings a 2004/5 truck can cost *about* 20,000
From my findings a 2000/1 BMW anything between 3 and 5 series, can range from 15-20,000
From my findings a 2000/1 BENZ anything from small E class, to convertable CLK can range from 13-20,000

If you could pick ONE CAR, which would you choose, and why.

I am curious about the reason *MOST* people would choose the TRUCK.

P.S- I refrained from adding civic into the discussion/poll, because I think a truck is equal/takes it place.

-Monzi

EDIT: If people ask, ill add a civic on, or some other generic type car.
EDIT 2: I AM NOT--comparing a BMW/BENZ to a TRUCK. I am comparing PRICES and the choice one would make in regards of the cars. I am dumbfounded at the amount of people bashing me because I am using a truck as an example.

You don't cross-shop between those two. Quit being a narrow-minded dumbass and go play in traffic.

A brand new F150. What the hell do I need a BMW or a Benz for? Give me a vehicle that's actually useful other than picking up women (of which I already have one).

FYI: Price alone is not always the sole consideration in vehicle choice.

You are comparing apples to oranges.

I'm looking to get a 1998 BMW 328i, which was before the wussiness ensued with the 1999 model year...

Lexus over mercedes ANY DAY! Cheaper and VERY similiar in quality.

AS foir a truck, unless you have a need for it as a work truck, get a used one. Honestly, I'd go after a 2001 model with about 50,000 miles on it.

Agreed. I would take a truck or small SUV over a regular car - luxury or otherwise - any day

It is for me. A lot of us out there obviously do not make as much money as you do. We can't afford whatever we want. I will be in the market for a new vehicle within the next year or so, and I guarantee you I shop for price, not what car i want. I can only afford so much, it's the downfall of not having any professional skills. Though, I bet any vehicle I buy for $10k will drive down the road at the same speed limit as your $40k BMW.

Like I told the other ignorant people in the other thread. Donate all your organs, and quit life.
Now onto a more serious note.
I personally would take the BMW, why? Its a better buy. Its a classy car, in a buisness enviornment it could really help. Whats the point of a truck--unless your in the construction buisness. From what I have seen trucks are used once a in blue moon to haul around diffrent things.

On the regards of your arguement, I was not cross-shopping between trucks and cars. I was simply arguing a point where for the SAME PRICE as a truck, you could sport a nice classy car. I am in no way comparing a truck and a car. I am pointing out a validated response on the correlation between the price of a truck and a nice high end car.

If you cant come to terms, that your truck costs the same as a BMW, then I am forever sorry. If someone told me to pick a car, all the same price. The truck woudld not even CROSS MY MIND.

Please also note--that several people in this thread have also chosen the BMW/BENZ vs the truck and/or generic car.

really, how old are you? You think like a 5th grader would. People buy a truck to haul people and things. I also use it for transportation to and from work. I'm a software developer for a bank. Do you think that if I bought a BMW or Benz that it would help my social status? Hell no! No cares about what car or truck I drive. No one cares what kind of vehicle you drive if you're even old enough to do that. I'd choose a truck over your BMW any day of the week for ever and ever.

Please read my O.P. I am trying to find out WHY people would rather choose the truck. I am mearly pointing out for the same price as a truck--you can get a vehicle such as a bmw, lexus, or benz.

If you are going to keep on thread crapping, please leave.
