I personally would take the BMW, why? Its a better buy. Its a classy car, in a buisness enviornment it could really help. Whats the point of a truck--unless your in the construction buisness. From what I have seen trucks are used once a in blue moon to haul around diffrent things.

On the regards of your arguement, I was not cross-shopping between trucks and cars. I was simply arguing a point where for the SAME PRICE as a truck, you could sport a nice classy car. I am in no way comparing a truck and a car. I am pointing out a validated response on the correlation between the price of a truck and a nice high end car.

If you cant come to terms, that your truck costs the same as a BMW, then I am forever sorry. If someone told me to pick a car, all the same price. The truck woudld not even CROSS MY MIND.

Please also note--that several people in this thread have also chosen the BMW/BENZ vs the truck and/or generic car.

Jesus christ, you are an idiot. People drive what THEY want to, not what YOU want them to. YOu are the only ignorant one because you keep trying to convice people that what they like is wrong.

Please read my O.P. I am trying to find out WHY people would rather choose the truck. I am mearly pointing out for the same price as a truck--you can get a vehicle such as a bmw, lexus, or benz.

If you are going to keep on thread crapping, please leave.

So what. If I could get a used 3 or 4 year old BMW versus a brand new truck, I would choose the truck each and every time. Why? Because I have no need for a sports sedan. I have a need for a truck. I help other people move, I haul stuff from Lowes and Home Depot for my wifes garden, I like to borrow my parents rotortiller, I like to buy furniture and save money and take it home myself, I like the looks. What other reasons do you need? Why do you need to continually look like an ass in every thread you've posted?

It is for me. A lot of us out there obviously do not make as much money as you do. We can't afford whatever we want. I will be in the market for a new vehicle within the next year or so, and I guarantee you I shop for price, not what car i want. I can only afford so much, it's the downfall of not having any professional skills. Though, I bet any vehicle I buy for $10k will drive down the road at the same speed limit as your $40k BMW.

If price is the sole consideration, then why not buy a new Hyundai? A 2004 Hyundai will be a much better car in 2008 than a 2000 BMW.

I'm voting truck. Even though I don't own a truck nor do I plan on buying a truck in the next few years. I'm just doing it to skew your already skewed poll.

You gave me the response I was looking for. It was intelligent, well thought, and informative. as for me being an ass--im getting quite annoyed at people judging me, because I would choose the bimmer.

P.S- For the peron who wanted to know my age--it is 18.

Are you kidding me? You crapped more in my thread than most people crap in a full year (see thread).

Just because I chose to buy a truck that fits my lifestlye, you choose to crap in my thread. Then you get so up in arms that you start another thread and try to insult people who choose trucks to fit their needs.

Seriously man...you disgrace the internet.

It just blows my mind... you create a thread asking for advice on a brand new TRUCK and he comes in there saying you have to get a 2001 Mercedes. WTF

What makes you think I dream about driving a truck? There you go again, jumping to conclusions about people you don't know simply because they disagree with you. I've owned 2 BMWs and driven a few more. They are nice cars but they are expensive to maintain and repair. I don't own a truck nor do I have any plans to buy a truck in the next few years.

Your reactions to anyone who disagrees with you are the actions of someone who is very immature. That is why I estimate your age to be 12 years old.

People took that organs comment straight to the head......

JulesMaxiums, All I wanted was a decent response, as for when you said "I've owned 2 BMWs and driven a few more. They are nice cars but they are expensive to maintain and repair. I don't own a truck nor do I have any plans to buy a truck in the next few years."

If you had said that in the first place, this arguement would have never taken place.

All I was seeking, was a half-decent comment, like the latter part of your paragraph.

Everyone is going "ape-shit" because of the way you stated your opinion. If you said I like BMWs, I think they are best cars on the whole damned planet and left it at that then you probably would have people responding that they also like BMWs. But you didn't. Instead you bashed truck owners for chosing trucks instead of your beloved BMW.

Now you're going to sit here and cry because people are bashing you? You asked for it pal. Suck it up and admit you were wrong and you might save what little is left of your credibility.

They are a rare find, and they are often purchased using buy-it-now within 1-2 days of the auction.

Here, I will say it simply...

YOU CANNOT COMPARE A NEW TRUCK TO A USED BMW.

Do you get it yet? There is no comparison.

That's like comparing AMD's processors to Crucial's RAM.

Hmmm. New truck with warranty, or aging, out-of-warranty Eurotrash yuppie mobile.

Since I'm a pragmatic person, I prefer practicality over pretentiousness; therefore the truck would be more my style.

Ugh, here we go AGAIN.......

Lets say--by theory, you went to visit your uncle in Florida. He is a rich rich rich man, and your whole fam, went up to stay for the weekend.

you arrive at his house. Lets also say you just graduated. He pulls you asside, shows you two cars.

a bmw, and a truck. He says "You graduated, congrats, PICK ONE."

Both the BMW and the TRUCK are the same price.

Which would you choose.

Interesting, way of saying it. heh, It find it really really funny--When I lived in Houston--I used to LOVE TRUCKS, but when I moved to Mass, I wanted a SUV and/or sports sedan type car.

Not sure how it works.
