Yes I think would be let in. Read the left behind series by Tim Lahaye. It's very entertaining and informational.

Or if you were a Christian and *actually read the Bible* you would know that the Left Behind series is part of the infamous "end-time deception" spoken of in the book of Revelation. Of course, you'd have to read the Bible and use your brain to know this though...

flame away!

Using your brains and reading the bible are not necessarily related. The bible was written by men not entirely unlike you and me, so what makes it so special?

Never heard that one before
x 42 Oh, and nice edit btw.

Well, since you've heard it so many times, perhaps you should take notice that it has some credence. I edited it so that it would sound less assholish, but I see you have no problem playing that game.

Open your mind and close your mouth, you dime-a-dozen POS.

LOL, you're funnay "Open your mind and close your mouth, you dime-a-dozen POS" coughHYPOCRITEcough.

"Using your brains and reading the bible are not necessarily related. The bible was written by men not entirely unlike you and me, so what makes it so special?"
I'll bet you stated this in the hopes I wouldn't answer it, but since you've felt the need to resort to petty insults, I shall now tear your seemingly clever thesis apart.
"Using your brains and reading the bible are not necessarily related." This is just sheer idiocy. Do you truly believe that there is no deeper meaning to the Bible than what is on the surface? People might as well be reading out of a Denny's menu if this were true.
"The bible was written by men not entirely unlike you and me, so what makes it so special?"
For this statement to even be legitimate, you would first have to believe that man has never and will never do anything of any value. That's got to be one of the saddest things I've ever heard. If you hate man so much why do you continue to live? After all, you are a man, so, like every other man (in your opinion), you are worthless. Or do you think yourself better than everyone else, despite your statement to the contrary? Your hypocrisy continues to pile up here...

What you need to realize is that Christianity isn't the be-all, end-all of spiritual knowledge. The bible may have value as a book for moral guidance, but when people take it as the word of God, things get out of hand.

You also need to take statements for what they are, rather than inflating them to suit your argument. Man cannot know, nor will he know, if there is a God or an afterlife. You just can't prove it. That said, since man cannot know "the truth," the bible should not be taken as such. Again, the bible isn't the only religious text in the world. You need to educate yourself on more than one religion, my friend. There are some great viewpoints out there if you look beyond the religion you grew up around.

Why am I not surprised to see FlyerMax in here starting flame wars in the name of "you know who".

And FelixDeKat, nice attitude. I can just see Christ beaming out of you with every post. Keep it up!

With such great ATOT representatives for Christ as these two, it's no wonder that we have such a high percentage of atheists!

Chill out l2c,

Just leveling the playing field. Even Jesus got mad at the money changers who polluted a place of worship once. And furthermore, I would like to add, I never presented my self as perfect, just someone who believes.

Have a good day, aight?

Ooooo, Ooooo, I want live in the clouds! That sounds like fun!

Let me tell you losers how this is going to work out. There is no heaven, so don't pack your bags, because you ain't going anywhere.

But let's pretend there IS a heaven just for the sake of arguement. I'll die and go to heaven and God will tell me, "You never believed in me and that is why I will make you my right hand man in heaven. I gave you common sense and the ability to make rational thoughts and you used my gifts to make rational conclusions. I NEVER gave you any proof that I existed therefore I never would expect you to know anything more than what I gave you. How could I fault you for not believing in me if I never gave you any proof. After all, I made you this way. I'd also like to let you know that all those freakin' songs they are singing in churches are driving me insane! I am God, why would I want to hear the same damn songs over and over again for hundreds or thousands of years. Some people I created unfortunately are extremely stupid. I'm God, but I'm not perfect. I admit I screwed up. You on the other hand are one of my finest creations. I welcome you into heaven my son, and I hope you will be happy in the cloud with me. And on another note, I'm kicking that pussy Jesus out of hear! I'm just sick and tired of his whiney ass!"

So let it be told.

I'm agnostic and yes I think I would be let in. I don't see why a god would send me to hell because I have no belief in him. Wouldn't he have made me this way?

Not this again... I'm not going to explain Schroedinger's Uncertainty Principle in-depth again. Let's put it this way: science can only prove that which it observe in nature or reproduce in a laboratory. There is no arguing this, this is fact. With that said, since science can neither prove or disprove G-d's existence, one cannot use science to argue for or against G-d's existence. This is Schroedinger's Uncertainty Principle, at it's heart.
Whether you believe in G-d or not is fine, that's your choice. Don't try to bring science into the argument though, you *can't* win. Science cannot explain the why, only the how (and even then not always). Science is not perfect.

Well Flyermax2k3, I've read all your theories and you've convinced me...fairies do exist. I never believed in them, but since I can't use science to disprove them I guess they're there.

...that's the thing. You choose not to believe, therefore, you are wrong and will burn in hell (or at least that's what I've gathered from my bible readin')

Who's to say he is or isn't God? I don't know. I believe that Jesus is God, and I believe that he is who he says he is. Its for everyone to decide for themselves, and live their life according to their beliefs. I believe that history points to God, archaeology points to God or at least supernatural powers, and science has pointed many athiests to God. I'm not suggesting living blindly, based on a belief of the existence of God. I'm always reading books / literature from different religions and Christian vs Non-Christian viewpoints. Decide for yourself, but make the choice based on a wide variety of information, not just on a reactionary or cynical viewpoint.
