if your going to go public with it, then forget it. I don't want the money.

Hi Mosh (gives secert upsate NYer wave)

This is not an easy one to answer. For me it would depend on many factors, many of which are obviously personal and subjective. If you deem the cause worthy and you trust your judgement on the person's sincerity and honesty, then yes.

Soliciting opinions is not a bad idea (to get differing points of view), but don't let others make decisions for you (from the posts of yours I have read, you don't seem like that type anyway )

I do not loan money except to maybe family. I don't consider myself the bank. I might loan $5 here and there to people here at work, but I would not send money over the net to someone or write out a check to someone that I knew over the net. And yes, i have people that i play games with and such that I know very well, a handful that i've met in real life more than once. But i still wouldn't loan them a significant amount of money.

Not unless I've met them face to face. I've lent distant people money over the 'net before, but only with people I've actually met.

Yes I would. Not seeing them in person doesn't negate the fact that I had built up a trusting, close relationship with that particular person that might even be deeper on some levels than a "real life" friend. If I had a good rapport with them, a long history of communicating and most importantly of all, the $100.00 to spare I would do it without hesitation.

Your welcome - as Obi-Won once said "trust your feelings"

P.S. - I may have to come visit that 'porch" of yours sometime

It never happened to me. So I don't know. I did buy someone a christmas present though, and she said she would get me one too. I haven't received it yet though. I give her 2 months before I end up going to buy it myself since I really DO want that movie.

Then I let her know to forget about buying me that movie since she was too slow and I bought it myself.
