Small car dealership and detail shop. Probably have 5-10 cars in inventory at any given time. Small markups, hand picked from auctions, selling in a smaller community to a specific market.

If I make $300-$500 a car that's all I want. I'll do detailing as well for extra $$.

I'd love to start my own game development studio. I'd need to get an additional loan, though, because $500,000 would only be enough to keep the studio running for a few months.

Second choice: Pet shop.

Either of those could be easily done with $100k, so I'd invest the rest.

Depends where you are and what are your background.

You can't open a chinese restaurant without any experience managing a restaurant or having a good cook. You might be successful, but it will be tough.

You'll also need to do market research on opening up a restaurant.

1/2 a million is a lot of capital to start a business. Spend it wisely.

Starbucks doesn't franchise out. Looks like they are corporate owned.
