False alarms seem harmless, but they condition people to not react when an actual emergency situation arises.

I think faking an emergency is actually illegal. I could be wrong on that.

If you start a false alarm you can get into trouble for that. If someone calls the fire department you can be held responsible for the costs of them showing up when there is not emergency. A kid at my school thought it would be funny to pull the fire alarm, since there was no emergency he was held responsible.

I haven't been inside the walls of a high school since my son graduated in 94. I think they'd take offense at my even being there...let alone if I took over their PA system...so I'd probably just let a nice loud wet fart...(and hope I didn't shit myself in the process.)

:laugh: People here seem to overestimate what power the principal and administration actually has over students graduating. Unless you do something REEEEAAAALLLY stupid, they can't do much. Hell, I got caught drinking and with a tiny bit of pot the night before the last day of school. Really dumb, I know. But I talked to the principal and he basically told me that he can't actually do anything besides press criminal charges, which he didn't want to do.
