Actually there is enough genetic difference between 1st cousins that your likelyhood of getting children with genetic problems is a low percentage.
You only share 50% of your genes with your brothers/sisters (excluding identical twins). And its only 12.5% with 1st Cousins.

Now beyond that, cousins are family. And a no point, no matter how hot, should you be thinking of going for it with family.
Heck, I go with the rule, if they even share the same last name, its probably not worth risking. Then again my last name isn't Smith.
The only time, it would be even excusable, is if you met someone, and became involved and later found them out to be related.
Still even then, I think it would disgust me.
