I try to stick to Linux wherever possible, but for my Windows needs I'm still on XP. Waiting to give the new Windows a look before I decide if I'll give up MS totally.

I quad boot and I'm in Vista64 99% of the time. Almost enough to think about recovering all that lost space that the other OSes are occupying.

Vista 64 is pretty nice for Bioshock but I like the responsiveness of XP64. I haven't had any noteworthy issues with Vista.

Currently playing with Vista x64 after SP1 was released. It's slower than my XP x86 and odd problems appear such as my freeware CDBurning and ISO Creator software not working and some bogus thing where Acrobat 7 can't create the PDF print driver cuz it's x64. Other than that I'm just waiting till the next DX10 game comes out so that I can try it out. If it wasn't for my 4GB of ram I wouldn't be touching the x64 stuff and same goes for the DX10. Right now I don't see a real benefit in moving over to Vista.

Vista x64 at home. Still disappointed with some older hardware never getting updated drivers, but besides that I have no problems with it.

I completely switched over about 2 months ago after dual booting Vista x64 and XP Pro for 2 years and wouldn't think of going back.

In fact, last night I had to help my dad with some computer issues on his XP machine, and the whole time I was thinking "damn this would be much easier with Vista than XP".

I do keep an XP virtual machine handy for the rare times I run into a program that doesn't seem to work properly with Vista, though.

i use Vista Ultimate 32 for some Flash stuff, also if I have an ap. that i don't
want to put on my main computer.

e.g., i just installed Flex for a Flash class, & didn't want to do it on my main
computer, which runs XP64. so i put it on the Vista computer.

Xp at work, XP and Vista at home. I dislike Vista so much that I am tried to replace it on my Dell M1330 with XP pro but ran into a huge driver issue ... and gave up.

I dislike Vista so much that I am probably selling it next week.

My 4GB Windows machine dual boots XP and Vista but I rarely boot into Vista - just can't see any benefit worth the overhead. But then I gave up flying toasters pretty quickly back in the 90s.

something is wrong with your computer because I can run all of those games except supreme commander (never tried it on Vista) in vista without any issues.

the only games i've had problems with are really old games

If XP had an Aero interface available, I wouldn't give Vista a 2nd look. It's not a bad OS, and actually runs really well on my machine, but I hate the search interface.

WTF was wrong with just right-clicking a folder, and hitting search? Really? Whoever took that out should be swung by his arm by his grandfather.

I kept an XP partition around when I first installed Vista x64. in Jan 07'. After SP1, no more XP partition. There's no need for it. Vista is stable, drivers have the kinks worked out for the most part, and compatibility issues are few and far between.

We've got two XP pro desktops, two XP pro laptops and one Vista laptop, all 32 bit. I built the desktops and put XP on them out of habit more than anything. The laptops all run the OS that came preloaded.

When I do get around to building a new desktop it will probably have Vista 64 as long as all the games I want to play will run in it.

Ive had XP since forever it seems and just ordered Vista Ultimate 64 because i want to set up a HTPC. Hopefully ill like it and it will run smoothly. My machine is only a year old and was high end then. How do you set up dual booting? I wouldnt mind keeping both XP and Vista once i get my 1.5TB drive in.
