Let me put a bit of perspective on that amount of money. Let's say you bankrolled the whole wad into an income producing investment earning, say, 5%. Every single day for the rest of eternity, with just the earnings, you would be able to buy another brand new $5 million dollar house, and still have over half a million left over to furnish it with.

Paying for your living for the rest of your life? I don't think you'd possibly be able to spend $40 billion in your lifetime if you tried, short of buying an entire corporation, or a country.

I'd put in an interest bearing account. Why not? I'm obviously not going to spend it all at once, so it would make sense to rack up some more while it's lying around. Besides that, I'd buy a sports team, lower ticket prices to a max of $10 for the best seats, and then tell everyone to go wild. No suits in my arena.
