If you know how to overclock, COME ON IN!

I am getting ready to start beating this thing! I put the frickin thermal paste on it, and attach the heatsink and fan, and it wont stay below 50C even at default voltage and no overclocked! WHAT DO I DO!?

Still sounds like the heatsink isn't sitting square on the die.
Have you had the fan off the heatsink? If you have , it is possible to put the retaining clip on backwards, which will apply pressure in the wrong place and cause the heatsink to sit on a funny angle. Is the cutout in the bottom over the step in the socket?

No the fan has not been taken off. The cut out sits over the step correctly. Its just weird that CMOS reports a different temp then the one that the asus probe does. the cmos temp is 10 degrees cooler. right now it is running at 48C.

Doesn't the asus a7v report temps 10C higher? There is some kind of fix for that. I have a kt7a-r so I don't really know much about it.

You might just have a faulty "probe". I would go ahead and trust the temp reported in bios, though high, it seems more reasonable than what the probe is reporting.
Check the temp in bios first thing in the morning on boot up. It should read slightly higher than room temp and rise steadily as the system stabilizes. If it is 30+F degrees at boot-up within 10sec of initial start, than that would seem high, but remember, the cpu temp will change very rapidly for the first 20-30F degrees before it stabilizes with no load.
