What is messed up is that it wants you to give a serial number to get the 25 in cash. I threw the piece of crap printer 3 years ago. What, are we supposed to hang on to crappy stuff perpetually just farking incase?

i'm in the same boat, but i don't really care. i stopped purchasing their printers a few years back and i'll never purchase one again. do they really think that after screwing the consumer so many times, that this would make them come back?

I got close to 100 bucks for my Epson 880

Actually the way I read it is that is you register online or are already registered you will only get the credit in the epson store (which will probably have some restrictions)

But if you want to get a $25 check you must mail in a claim.

Yes, but look how simple the claim form is.

You don't even need to provide a proof of purchase.

You still have to provide the serial number and production cod

I must be missing something because I only see it asking for model # and serial #.

Exactly. What's a "production cod"?

They ask for that (and have a picture to show you where it'd be) when you register for the settlement online. It's not on the mail-in claim form.

Oh, the Production Code. So the mail-in claim form (the one for money) requests less information than the ordinary Epson registration process--Sweet!

Man... I was gonna agree with many of the posters here that I couldn't participate cuz I threw the POS out a long time ago. Well, I was doing some document restoration on a format and I found a gif of the printer's (in question) UPC code. Looks like I'll be getting $25! I'll be sure to throw the Epson credit in the trash. They've lost me as a future customer cuz of all of this (that and their ever clogging printheads).

I got a notice in the mail today. Forgot I registered. Nice that they are contacting Epson printer owners by mail too.

7 years is a long time and most people probably moved, including me...

If you registered with Epson, is there a way you can look up your info, I no longer have my printer with me to find the serial number.

I've got tons of refills from ebay for my R200.
So I said "Show me the money"... I'll take that $25 and run with it.

I have the 875DC and that thing gobbled up the ink and then the photos faded so badly that they looked terrible within 6 months........ I quit using it a couple years ago and did not sell it because it was total crap and i would have felt bad about unloading on anyone.. I am overjoyed that "Epson" is gonna take it on the chin.. Plus I get 25 Bucks bacK... Yahoo!!!!

Bump for people who didn't see this before or are seeing it for the first time.
The alternate settlement needs to be postmarked by 6-22-06.

Did you register? Because if you did, you will automatically get the credit in the mail.

I probably bought and registered several Epson printers in that time frame, but all are long gone. I have absolutely no use for a credit from Epson as I never intend to buy any of their products in the future. Anyone have any idea how to find out what printers I had? I'm reasonably certain that they were registered.
