Thanks for updated info. Guess I can watch for a post here instead of trying to recall which mailbox I used for Epson

I got a mess of letters back from these folks and out of the 15 or so I sent in, about 12 were denied and only a couple accepted, but needed more info. It was all a pain in the butt to get all the numbers before...now all the denied ones I find out were because the transcribers of my submissions could not read the 26 letters and 10 digits of our communication system. Called them and can resubmit everything....still a big pain in the butt.

Good hunting!

According to the Settlement Website, the final approval hearing was set for August 15, 2006. The website FAQs also include the following:
When can I expect to receive my benefits?

Benefits will be available after the Court has given final approval and all appeals have expired.
Under California law, you have 60 days to file an appeal, so, at minimum, you won't hear anything until mid-October.

Oh, one more thing. According to the website, you still have until November 13, 2006 to register a qualifying printer and receive a $45 credit at the Epson e-store.

To register a qualifying printer, go to www.epsonstore.com/benefitsreg and complete all required fields.

I received a letter saying that I applied for more than one (which I did not), but that if I wanted more information I could call yadda, yadda, yadda.
Sounds like a mass mailing run-a-round to me.

I'm bothering with it anymore... they win.

Update and Bump From the Epson Settlement Website:
On October 23, 2006, the Court entered the Judgment in this matter and issued an order granting final approval of the Settlement and application for fees, costs, expenses and incentive award. The Settlement benefits provided under the Settlement are not yet available but notice will be provided on this website once they are available. Notice regarding activation of unique E-Store codes will be sent by email or direct mail to those class members that requested such notification.
As I mentioned above, you have sixty days to appeal under California law, so those of you wondering about where your checks and credits are won't have much longer to wait.

Is there any news to this? I have not heard a thing from anyone since I sent in my info on my two printers. Is this ever going to be settled?

Update: I received 2 "Approved claim notice & epson store code" forms in the mail today for my 2 printers.

It states the store code number, the value ($45.00 for me) and printer model.

It also says that the code will not be activated untill the end of the appeal period.

I can not find a date of when the appeal period will end.

Look for a envelope with a return address: Rust Consulting, Inc. from Minneapolis, MN.
It kinda looks like junk mail.

Guess that means those of us that requested checks will have to wait until end of appeals before they mail them out.

The order became final October 23. I understand the appeal period expires 90 days later which would be January 23.

Wrong. Under California Rule 8.104, you have 60 days or 180 days to file an appeal. It's 180 days if nobody serves Notice of Entry or 60 days after service of Notice of Entry. Since as a practical matter, either Epson or the plaintiffs would have made sure to serve Notice of Entry ASAP, we can assume 60 days, but that time doesn't run until after the service and we don't know when that took place.

Of course, if somebody (like a disgruntled class member) appeals, all bets are off.

Perhaps you are right although the link you posted shows a law that starts Jan. 1, 2007 and might not apply to this 2006 ending case. The 90 day figure was told to me by the class action law firm when I called to check on my status. Either way we should be close to being in the money.
