yeah, that's for a bottom of the barrel job. walmart does have FTE positions available that pay better than your $12/hr mark. . . assistant store managers, managers, corporate positions etc...

Technically you are correct. However, society has found it useful, if not necessary, to formalize reproductive pairings since the dawn of civilization. I don't think this is accidental.
