Atypical things; Havings billions, I'd blow a few million on a house with the following features:
1. Wood slates that are removable, so I can run wires under them whenever I feel like if I get new electronic goodies with long cables
2. Extremely high level audio equipment throughout the house (the type with $20,000 audio cables) for maximum sound quality
3. A telescope like they have at Appalachian State University on the roof. It's in a mini-retractable dome they open whenever they use it
4. Secret passages with secret ways of opening them, like in the Batman movies
5. An underground survival lair in case of nuclear war; several years food supplies, several thousand gallons of gas, large power generator, walk in freezer, and a gigantic supercomputer, just because EVERY underground lair needs a gigantic supercomputer
6. The garage would have a gas pump with a separate gas tank from the lair, have my own gas periodically delivered when it gets low. I hate going to gas stations, so I don't have to worry about it as I can fill up at home
7. Just because, I'd have a room built to be a replica of the bridge from the original star trek series. Different stations would have remote access to certain features of the house (accessing wireless net connection, bluetooth connectivity for devices such as blue-tooth enabled fridge, the communication station would tie into the phone network, etc). Yes, each would have replicas of the sounds from the series too. The "view screen" (gigantic DLP) would be able to access the security cameras in and outside of the house, as well as satellite television and DVD player. The remotes for multiple functions for the AV system would be built into the Captains chair. Hey! You wanted atypical, this would be it.
8. A more normal AV setup in a micro-sized theater with red carpet, 3 rows of chairs (five chairs per row), maybe a ticket booth with a dummy, and a small popcorn stand out front. LCD projector, of course. Might have a "projector room" as well, just to freak out/impress guests.
