But it would be my roomate who'd be tipped off. Somtimes I go a few days without talking to parents.

If I didn't come home one night...my roomate would be calling...by second day of no show he'd definitely know something is up and either call around to other friends or call cops then. After no word/show by end of second day/third day...somebody would be called.

About 5 hours, when I'd fail to pick up my wife from work, she'd call her parents/brother to come get her, they'd call me, no answer, and within 20 minutes they'd notice the car was at our place but not me. She'd freak and call the cops, end of story.

As of right now, the GF would know something is up that we missed our 7:30 reservation (2.5 hours away) as its our 5 year anniv. Coworkers would notice i'm not at work tomorrow and call me around lunch time to see if I'm just coming in late and will meet them. THen will get curious once I don't show up at the shooting range after work.

Yeah, the poll is missing the whole lower end.

I'd be missed in a less than an hour. Cops would probably be called later tonight if I didn't show up. I'm married.

Just a few years ago, it could have been up to a few weeks before my absence was long enough for someone to notice and call the cops.
