Wait, wait, so is there actually people out there who think he's innocent? I don't care what the court says, the court is just a giant lottery, and he just got lucky, I'm talking about reality. So some people say what he did was ok?

Yes. Lots of people, actually.

The US is becoming a very polarized place, and the two factions have VERY different ideals and moral standards.

No matter which side anyone is on, I'm saddened so many people are willing to judge before the trial even starts. Not only judge, but stick to their conclusions so strongly that there is almost no hope to sway them with any evidence that may surface.

EDIT: For the original purposes of the OP. Depends on how much money I have. In my current situation? Hopefully I'd have enough immediate funds to fake die so my family can collect life insurance money, then vanish.

Our justice system is broke as hell.
However, I am white and smart enough to say absolutely nothing to the police and hire the corruptest lawyer possible.

He was guilty to some degree the second he left that car with a loaded gun to confront the kid.

There's no dispute about that.

Nice backdoor into OT from P&N, btw.

what i dont get is why is it any different when someone kills another person? why is it worse if a person of one race gets killed vs another? or if a cop gets killed vs a cashier? understand this mentality i do not.

No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury

It's lynch mob justice by the media, and our racist POS shit President.

Under the law you are innocent until proven guilty. The hard part for a juror, is being neutral to what "public opinion" says about what the accused really did without them knowing the facts/what really happened. Based on the evidence presented in court (not public opinion), they should then make a decision.

1. Guilty
2. Not Guilty.

Poll should say "Show up for court, and allow the US court/penal system to prove your guilt." :hmm:

He just needs to bail and go to Mexico. Then cross over illegally and take up living as an undocumented migrant worker.

It really sucks to be in his shoes. On one hand, he's already been tried and convicted by the media, thus potential jury members are already influenced.
On the other hand, he's getting it over with. Without being charged, he would live every day wondering wether some new D.A. hell bent on making a name for themselves decided to charge him since there is no limitation in FL for murder.

Zimmerman is going to have to be kept in isolation or under house arrest as he will be killed in jail/prison if he goes.

Think Casey Anthoney.....

Clearly you have been so jaded by the internet, I will forgive you for your own accusations. Anyhow this is not a troll thread and whether or not I am implying that, I am asking would people bail out and leave the country and change their identities? Or would they risk being proven guilty when they are truly innocent.
Please tell me how when a 911 operator says to stay away from him and then doing the opposite is "standing your ground"

Sorry but this is a troll thread.

Think Casey Anthoney.....
She is actually an example of the extreme end of the media trying people in the court of public opinion.
The prosecutors were soo sure that the media had done their job for them they didn't bother actually putting together a case. All they had was "She is a shitty person".
They forgot that being a horrible human being does not make you guilty of murder.
They had basically zero evidence that she murdered anyone.
Lying to the police might be enough to get some ignorant minority to admit to something he didn't do, but it is not enough to convince 12 people that the person murdered someone.

They must of thought, "shit the media got Scott Peterson convicted with zero evidence and the only proof that he went fishing on a holiday, Casey Anthony will be a slam dunk". Didn't work so well that time.

I'd go to court for a few reasons:

1) The SYG law will give me two chances to argue self defense
2) If I can't get the charge dismissed under SYG the burden of proof for 2nd degree is high
3) You kinda have to have some money to run
4) Most places you could run to without extradition are crapholes

Seconded.

The facts are not all out, and not everything being reported as fact is true.
