Yet another vote for Tetris. A close second goes to Bubble Bobble though.

Single player only? Goddamn. That's a boring existence no matter what you pick.

It would have to be something like Geometry Wars, something with no end game that I can constantly challenge myself with.

A max-ed out desktop PC, with a full set of development tools. I could design and program my own games.

Of course you are going to prison for life to be punished, so maybe that is why you are asking which already-3-year-old-technology-POS-console and console game do you want to accompying you to Hell.

You're in the console forums... what in gods name did you expect? If guitar hero ran even close to correctly on your 'maxed out PC' maybe I'd see a reason to pick it for me. But hey, who cares right? I guess I just enjoy playing games without worrying it'll crash/freeze/BSOD/overheat on me while looking just as good if not better than the same game on the PC.

SSBM (SSBB?). I'd master every character and host tourneys or something when I could. Probably get brutalized for embarrassing people though...

If I was locked away, I think "Second Life" might be a good choice.

Another good one would be "leisure suit larry." At least pretend to get laid.

You guys are forgetting the rules...

1. No internet connection.
2. One controller.
3. Console game.

You also need to understand that most console games are developed on max-ed out desktop PCs with a development toolset for the console (each console has its own specific development software kit). I am just saying I would "cheat" the OP's jail system of enforceing an eternity in Hell with only one console game, by replacing it with one development system. That way I could program an infinite supply of games. Then the decision would still have to be made as to **which** DSK to get.

And as you mentioned, yes, I would GREATLY GREATLY like to play games on the 360 without worrying it will again BSOD on me even after it has been refurbed several times, even if it barely looks as good than the same game on my PC's 3 year old video card.

Why do you come in the Console Gaming forum to bash consoles? You have contributed nothing to the thread. Go to the PC Gaming forum if you want to talk about how much better your pc is than a console.

The topic wasn't "What would you bring to prison", it was "What console game would you bring to prison."

Even smaller than the damned PSP UMD section.

Final Fantasy Tactics. Damn it, now I want to fire up the old PSX and play it

That game could easily beat out FF7 I picked earlier. Takes something special to have more playtime on my PS2 than any PS2 game.

i hated it on PSX, but recently picked it up on the PSP... trying to unlock dark knight takes quite some time!

San Andreas here also. Just so much to do and even just walking around blowing stuf up and shooting would keep me going for a while. But for life? There is no such game that would keep me going if I had a life sentence, unless I was 80 and about to croak anyway.

One of the Grand Theft Auto games so I could relive whatever crimes that put me into jail in the first place.
