Possibly.. Although last year she had a knee injury and put on some weight. That's when I realized that I might have these types of feelings for her. She was far from overweight, but no longer perfect and it didn't phase me.

after 25 years of marriage, we've both changed, from our skinny days. Lol but we still enjoy it when the kids are gone for a bit so we can act "young and stupid" in the kitchen, or the living room. In our case, the weight issue doesn't even come into play.

Personally I don't think I would. But I guess it depends on just how fat she got.

Thankfully I do not have that problem. Rather, I have the opposite. My wife is too damn skinny (5' 8" and 115 lbs), which causes her (and me) all sorts of problems.

Would you divorce your mate if he\she became ill and unattractive to you? I am not saying this is the same thing as the OP. But for people who value appearance over all how would illness affect how you feel towards your mate?

It's not simply the weight itself that's an issue, it's the underlying cause that resulted in weight gain.

In such a situation, physical appearance AND personality has likely changed for the worst and it is understandable if you no longer find them attractive (not just physically).

Agreed. I have a strict dress size 8 or smaller rule. Though that sort of thing is deceptively hard to judge. I mentioned it to a girl on our 4th date or so about a month ago. She was like, "Really? Because I'm a size 12." I was like . Never called her again.

I nearly dismissed her out of hand when she first told me how old she was, but she made her case that was a very mature 19 year old, etc etc. But the combination of size 12 and 19 made me realize that when she was done with college, and her lifestyle of eating\drinking whatever the fuck she wanted to and never working out caught up with her, she was going to blow up. She was actually fairly stunning in a bikini (our first date was at my hotel pool.) Couldn't believe she was a 12.
