I recently purchased a new ifeel mouse from logitech. The force feedback qualities are working great, in fact they are pretty darn cool. However, I seem to be having a problem with pointer movement. It seems to lag behind as if my computer was trying to catch up. I read that optical mice have a problem with the surface you use it on, but I have tried several different surfaces and all are the same. I have also tried to tweak it with the software, adjusting the acceleration and speed of the pointer, but with no results. I have never used any other optical mice before, is this just how they perform? Is this a probelm with USB?
Any help would be appreciated.

This isn't directly related, but I've heard that, when configured properly (Windows won't do it automatically, but you can get the option in the Win2k mouse properties, or download a tweaker for Windows 9x), PS/2 connector mice will be "smoother" than USB mice. This is due, apparently, to the number of times per second the mouse is checked to see whether or not it has moved.

I have the iFeel (USB) and the Intelieye (PS2) connected, and when the iFell stop responding when i open a windows or copy files,... (the famous 0.5 lag) i try the intelieye and it works just fine, so I think it's a USB problem.
The force feedback are cool but i want more games support.

I`ve no lag with my Logitech Optical Mouseman Wheel in USB mode, anyway I would recommend you try a good mouse mat, since even with Optical mice the better the surface for thre optical sensor the better it will be,try it on a shiny surface then a dull one you will then know what I mean, anyway the Allsop raindrop mouse mat is real cheap & works great,go here to Allsop.com ,you can try more expensive mats like ratpadz, but the Allsop works great.

If this does not work then your only option is try PS2 with PS2 overclocking software for the mouse rate.
