Reminds me of the time, when people would stand outside the Holland Tunnel entrance on the New York side, and sell VCR's to people waiting in the traffic. Thinking they were getting a good deal on 'hot' items, they would open to find telephone books in the box.
Then there's also the time where a bunch of kids in Brooklyn would go around the electronic stores in Fulton Mall/Street with a bag full of games in their plastic wrapping. They'd go ask the person to look at a game, distract him/her then switch it with the same game from their bag. However, the game they gave back to the salesperson contained only napkins inside.
