Need a little help. I've set up a website (as some of you might have heard ) and am using a ASP/Access databse to provide some information. If you go to the site http://jator.2y.net/md_orlando/medicare.htm, you can fill in the numbers 66984 and get a value back, but if you try and access the page via it's domain name (virtual server on the same machine) http://www.mdorlando.com/medicare.htm you get an error page. I'm assuming it's a permission issue, but I have checked the virtual server and the default server and both sets of permissions mirror each other. Any suggestions?

Its getting late so my head isn't quite right but check that iusr_<machinename> has access to the file.

Yes, under the Permission's tab in IIS, the IUser<Machinename> is listed. That's the puzzleing thing to me. Agree it's late though.

Whatever it was, it seems to work now... Did you figure out the problem?

By the way, you should change the money output formatting. It should have 2 places to the right of the decimal point, even if the second number is a zero. i.e., $79.4 should be $79.40

The registered domain just worked for me... I don't know what your prob might be but could it be that DNS records just haven't been updated all places yet?

HTTP 500 - Internal server error


Even dropped my Internet Security down to Low in case it was a scripting refusal (not likely, I know).

A DNS error should give me a 404 error, shouldn't it?

JonB, I don't know... just trying to guess... I just opened it fresh again and it still works even with three refreshes... seems good to me, but them I'm using Opera, could that have something to do with it?

I must have been confused. Now it looks like I'm also getting an error. I thought I was on the domain name when I entered 66984 and left the modifier blank, year 2000 then got back REMOVE CATARACT INSERT LENS $724.9. But I must have been on the first link. Sorry

Yeah, so do I. I just tried to install PHP support as I use some php pages on the main server, and I get the same problem. I'm assuming that IIS isn't allowing me (or NTFS permissions) to run these script files, even though I have script enabled and the IUSR_ComputerName as the user. Any IIS gurus, please step forward as I am really getting frustrated with this.
