This game makes no sense. I'm on an island that has crystal, and have a colony on a wine island. I have no stone. No one on the stone island in my group is trading it out. I can't make another colony because I need a higher palace level. I can't build a bigger palace until I have something like 800 stone. I can't build troops like swordsmen to pillage because I need sulfur. I have 0 sulfur. I can't build a colony on the sulfur island because I need a higher level palace. I can't build a palace without more stone...see where this is going?

hahaha yeah i know exactly how you feel. the same thing happened to me when i played before and i just gave up out of frustration.

Pillaging the fuck out of everybody (namely DLG *cough*) is the only thing keeping me in the game.

I would absolutely HATE to be starting out in Ikariam in its current state

Pillage more.
There should be some inactives on the marble island, or elsewhere.
Just be sure not to bash. In Gameforge's continuing quest to destroy all fun in the world, they're apparently monitoring inactives now for bashing violations.

That's just how much Ikariam sucks - even 2M+ military strength is no match for their bugs.

Head over to the forums (link is in OP).

If anyone near you sees you post that you need resource X typically they'll send you a care package in short order.

You'll probably wind up on the outskirts though.

It starts slow, but once you get Light Cavalry, you can really start with some serious raiding.
And once you get Rams and Catapults, you can really start laying waste to other towns.
