Illegal aliens

I'm curious. Apparently, the border patrol has done some sweeps recently of some of the hispanic areas and rounded up some illegal aliens. A big deal is being made about this in the media and everyone from the L.A. Times to religious leaders to the NAACP is crying foul.

Personally, I think it's about time the Border Patrol did something other than hold up traffic at the 2 check points along the 5 and 15 freeways.

This is happening in San Diego and San Bernardino/Riverside areas.

Here in the Bay Area, there has been this family living here for 15 years and they've come here illegally and people want them to stay?

I'm sorry, but why are we rewarding them for coming here illegally? They haven't paid anything to social security, probably don't pay any taxes, I'm sorry, but put them in a crate and ship them back please. This goes for all illegal immigrants. I said this during the History test about shoving them in crates and shipping them back to where-ever the hell they came from.. And to ship them back UPS. That'll teach them.

Then everyone labeled me racist. Meh, fine by me, their ignorance.

I am sympathetic to the plight of illegal immegrants. Many times they simply can't get in to a country which will provide them with the income necessary to survive. But they know they're breaking the law, and I feel no remorse at all for the Border Patrol doing sweeps and rounding them up.

I live in Tucson, AZ and its kinda sad that we have here a lot of illegal immigrants HOWEVER most of these people are actually very hard workers and will WORK for their money no matter how small. Tucson has an inordinate ammount of homeless people though, all of which stand on sidewalks and in medians and panhandle prettymuch. If even one of them even made a 10th of the effort some of the illegals do they'd probobly not be homeless. Its a sad state of affairs...

Job 1 should be, close the border properly. Nobody in without going through the proper channels. Then, you can adjust the laws to allow as many people as you want (or need) in, and you can control who comes in and make sure they pay taxes etc. This whole notion of crying racism whenever someone says that the border patrol should do what it was intended to do is stupid.

Instead of 8 million illegals and 2 million legal immigrants, why not seal the border, then say "we'll allow 10 million legal immigrants, provided they abide by the laws and guidelines"??? Better control, same number of people (if needed, the number can always be adjusted).

I was reading somewhere that all these jobs that the government claim no one here will do... well, they were being done by college students to help pay for school, and part time as a 2nd job by parents who needed the added $$$ to support their familes.

Aside from taking work, I am more pissed that they get free education, free medical and free welfare. Sh!t how many Americans work their azzes here, pay taxes and cannot afford for themselves what they are forced to give to ppl that are here illegally?

I agree. You know what sucks? Those that speak out are automatically labeled a racist. Hell, I'm pissed that part of my 30% taken out of my paycheck goes to support those filter feeding scums of society. If they put in as much as they took out, I would not mind. Free health care, free education, and the right to a driver's license?!

I don't care what anyone says ... this is an epidemic.

I agree with him - stop illegal immigration and adjust the number of legal accordingly.

Eh, maybe I'm missing something here, but how do you work and not pay SS/taxes? I mean, Uncle Sam is glad to take them out of my paycheck, how do I make him stop?

I wasn't entirely serious. I know that illegal aliens help to keep cost down but my point was that with the sheer number of kids popping out of those families, they should be more than enough to support our economy to keep costs down.

And I think it is up to 17 states that have now passed a law that says that illegal immigrants are now entitled to in state fees for college, no matter where they choose to go!!! I sent VeggieFrog to PSU for one year. I spent a fortune, out of state fees. Yet, another perk of being illegal is that they get in state fees, and government subsidies for college, free medical, and much more. And you are correct.... complain about it and be called a racist.

Watching my healthcare costs go up year after year after year. I pay over $260/month for healthcare coverage for my family.

America is not the paradise they thought it to be, we're in a depression and having them stealing our jobs is not a solution to our poor economy. It's much easier to just ship over some foods to Mexico if they are really starving.

Am I out of line when I say we should penalize families for having a billion kids and then depending on the gov't to bail them out? I can't help but care when many of us are struggling to support ourselves and the illegals are entitled to so much when they shouldn't be here. How about immigrate over legally like the rest of us? I like RobCur's idea of sending food over there but the idea that they can work for a fast food joint and still earn 10x what they can earn there only hurts that idea.
