They'll get their money back from their accounts, just because they lose the right to live here doesn't they give up the right to their money.

Here's my plan then. Do away with the status "illegal" immigrant. Have checkpoints along the border (probably in major cities) where anyone can come into the country by registering. Therefore, the need for anyone to try to sneak across totally disappears. Border Patrol can turn away people with criminal records, if they find anyone trying to sneak across, they can immediately apprehend them since no one should any longer have a reason to try to sneak across unless they are a criminal or a terrorist.

If I read you correctly:
So therefore there should be no immigration policy at all. Completely open borders by land, sea and air.

The Border patrol resources would be cut back - no justification for them.
CoastGuard will have resources cut back - no need to interdict at sea unless known to be breaking the law. ACLU will love this; anyone stopped can claim that they are immigrating and not drug running.

Therefore who will monitor the 20K miles of coastline and land borders along with the million of people arriving by air.

The 9/11 perps came across the border from Canada. Without any monitoring, we would not have known where they came from.

You will also put the land and sea coyotes out of business.

Flooding the manual labor force with 2-3 times the amount of people will cause economic hardship on the existing illegal workers.

I don't know why we can't deport these illegals in a timely manner becuase their very presence here is in violation of the law.

That's the problem half of them are torrorists... Rejects or hard core criminals that need a new place to stay. If they are crossing the border by thousands are we just expected to welcome them with open arms?

I think we need to screen these people and have some sort of order. Not only that but what about the ones coming to america so they can get the best healthcare? I mean, you not just going to let people die on the street. Think about it... If you knew you had a major illness and you lived someplace that didn't care.... Wouldn't you come to america or canada in a last ditch effort? Who do you think is going to pay for treatments?

the US wouldnt annex mexico because there is no benefit in doing so. it doesnt benefit national security, its essentially a money pit, and the US would have to deal with bunch of new problems.

im a legal immigrant and have been applying for citizenship for almost 20 years. 20 years or insane tuition, tons of lawyer fees, and less rights. it infuriates me every time i see an illegal immigrant get citizenship or benefit from "freebies" such as welfare or financial aid. my family and i work our a$$es off to pay tuition but the vast majority of illegal immigrants come in and just start collecting money. you should get out what you put into the system.

Here is my point , I hire a contractor to replace my roof, make a new bathroom for the wife and he was falling behind because his helpers are no coming to work because they drink and smoke; so I said fix it o I will cancel the contract and hire a new contract, he start the week with a new crew with mexicans, I saw them working until 8pm last night because the rain today. What about the costs? What about the costs of public schools for the children, the medical care costs for these uninsured people, the police and court costs for their criminal activity, and the population increase cost? What about the costs of more unemployment and lower wages for American citizens? The end result is a huge net loss.

But, because you're an altruist, I'm sure you're religiously committed to believing that mass immigration is a good thing for America. It's too bad you don't understand the concepts of wage labor arbitrage, the relationship between the supply of and the demand for labor and price points (wages), and the negative effects of population growth (fewer resources per person in the country, higher real estate costs, more traffic congestion, greater strain on the environment).

So why don't you advocate just removing our borders alltogether and allowing the 1 billion people who would love to immigrate here come?

The foreigners are willing to do it because it's a good option for them since they are very poor to begin with.

Are you suggesting that Americans should just merge themselves with the labor markets of the third world? Do realize that the end result of that would be an impoverished third world America? [Ever studied economics...know what supply and demand curves look like? What would happen to wages (the price point of labor) if the supply of labor suddenly increased exponentially?]

Americans should complain, and legitimately so, because they don't want to have the problems of the third world inflicted on them--such as the economic problems created by socialism, communism, and rampant overpopulation in other countries--it's almost like an initiation of physical force by proxy.

If you want to become a member of the third world labor market, then by all means, please forsake whatever wealth you have and move to the third world, but please don't drag the rest of us down with you!
