I don't get why people wouldn't just move if they are really that dis-satisfied? We have state income tax here in Oregon but no one really complains about it, because it's reasonable for what we get. There's no sales tax though, and fees are reasonable (car registration is $125 for two years, etc). Property taxes more depend on the county than anything else.

they arent my debts. I use zero social services and pay taxes.

I think your definition of Social Services is a bit skewed off the norm there dude.

firemen? closest fire station is still 30 min away. in the event a fire the house is gone. snow plows? hahahahah fuck yeah sure. we have gotten warnings from the state police that since i live in the country they have been told these roads will be last to be plowed and getting salted? yeah sure not going to happen.

sewage and drainage? sure i got it..i had to pay to put it in MYSELF.

I also pay $4k in property tax's. why? because IL has been so fucking mismanaged they keep raising the tax. not to mention the fee's.

fuck i would move if i could. but thats more of a divorce issue t hen a state or money issue.

Stop crying, Illinois! Us Kalifornian's already pay 9.3% income tax and it's not enough for the vampire SEIU and CTA! Apparently if you make $47K+ in california you're rich enough to be in the same tax bracket as somebody who pulls in $1,000,000 a year.

While California's brackets are kinda silly, Illinois is one single rate for everyone. So if you make less than $26,821 in California, you have a lower income tax than you would in Illinois.

We should change our state slogan from "Land of Lincoln" to "Not quite as bad as California"

There is nowhere left to move that doesn't feature progressives waiting to attach themselves to the working man's back like leeches - although, I suggest Tennessee, Waggy, should you tire of Illinois. Some lovely farms down here.
