IM 19 and getting severe hair loss:(

I am 19yrs old and you can also see thinning hair CLEARLY all on top and back crown.. slowly its receding to a point where i will be bald? :womp: i use Nioxin shampoo/conditioner for past 6months.. i think it stopped my hair from receding a little but that is about it.

Any of you guys experiencing similar problems and take any steps to prevent/stop?

How much do the bosley cost avg or similar companies where they implant natural hair? (maybe im wrong?)

well, to be honest, theres not a whole lot you can do.

I suggest cutting your hair REAL short... even if you are bald, it always seems to flatter blading men...trust me...

well, short of a hair transplant.

You're screwed without implants. I would recommend cutting your hair very short or going with a buzzcut, so that thinning is less apparent. Also work on other parts of your appearance: make sure your teeth are straight/white, you are thin/athletic, etc. Don't worry about hair, because short hair is best anyway. I used to be a big fruit with mine when I was a teenager and now I take the 1/2" clippers to it and forget about it.

there's hair thickening shampoo, loreal has one and so does suave, its designed for men.
Could be stress too. Or some meds.

i stopped using gell/hair spray back when i was 18. been more than 1yr+

I'm hair impared but did not start lossing hair until my mid twenties.

I'm hurt. The funny thing is, there's more truth to my comments that you prob. think. I'm Indian, going to be bald in probably 3 years or so (alread lost some hair.) Now, I didn't get an arranged marriage, but I'm dating a girl right now, with whom there's a good chance I'll likely marry. Me personally, if I lose my hair after I'm married, I really don't care. I already got the girl, so I'll let genetics do it's thing.

I've been using shampoo and conditioner every morning for years and still have a full set of thick hair at 23. It's genetic, nutrional, or stress related problem I guess... If your dad or gramps had a same problem, forget about it. Otherwise, eat healthy and stop stressing yourself over it.

Worst thing you can do is to "comb-over" your baldness. you know... those old dudes who grow the hair they have to obscene lengths and then comb it over to the other side hoping to hide it. It's terribly ineffective and makes you look stupid.

I'm 21 and my forehead is getting larger by the day. It's very frustrating and a bit depressing, but at some point you just have to say f uck it and be comfortable with it. Cutting your hair short does help, though. Don't bother with shampoos, drugs, or implants. All that is doing is making other people rich because of insecurities and the misfortune of having s hitty genes.

Join the club buddy. I've actually defied genetics by keeping my hair somewhat intact for this long. (I'm 24) It just started getting noticeable about a year ago. Almost all my cousins were bald as hell by 20. I've made my peace with it. I thought about fighting it with rogain (expensive goop that I don't feel like smearing on my head for the rest of my life) and propecia (has a "low occurance" of sexual side effects, no thanks I'd rather be bald than have limp dick).

Take Skoorbs advice. You've lost this battle, cut your losses (hair) and focus on other aspects of your personal appearance that you do have control over.

Being bald isn't that bad, hey, at least you don't have some kind of fatal genetic disorder or a small dick right?
