On the sidelines you see guys like Peyton Manning studying film, talking to lineman etc. When you see Romo on the sideline he is typically doing nothing at all or staring at the ground. With a better work ethic he could be a great QB, skill only goes so far.

They should go back to Chad Hutchinson or Quincy Carter or Drew Bledsoe or Drew Henson...hm. Maybe just keep Romo.

i agree....i mean, he's no joe flacco, but he's a good QB

Maybe the cowboys just need better talent around him

Scandrick isn't that bad - he just freaking bites too easy. And he's a newb, so give him some damn credit. I honestly don't think our coverage is terrible, but our defensive schemes are some bull. I think the overall problem with the team is Phillips.
ding ding ding

maybe jones will see the light at the end of this year when the cowboys fail again but i've been saying this for 2 years now and i'm not even a dallas fan.

You make it sound like Romo is another Rex Grossman when he is far FAR from it. The problem I see here is their coaching.

I want to know how the fuck you run for 250 yards and manage to lose the game. Wait, I already know. Because the offensive coordinator calls the same stupid pass plays that the quarterback has fucked up all night. The line was opening holes that any one of us fat asses at home could have run through for ten yards a pop. When you can run the ball, RUN THE FUCKING BALL UNTIL THEY STOP YOU. Jesus Christ.

Shanahan and Cowher are still available. Dungy too. Jerry has enough money to get one of them out of retirement. Of course, he can't keep a good coach.

RUN THE GOD DAMN BALL!

As a Niners fan, Romo needs to stay.
Seriously, Romo is not the Cowboy's problem. I didn't see Romo on the field when the Giants drove down the field to kick the winning field goal. Watched the game with a big Cowboys fan, and he kept complaining how the Cowboys couldn't tackle. Eli would dump off a five yard pass, and the guy would run for another 10 or 15 yards every time.

The Cowboy's problem is #1 coaching, and #2 bad tackling. I'm sure there are plenty of teams that would love to have Romo, he's a better than average quarterback-and I hate the Cowboys.

Secondary is fine. Pass rush is the problem. They drafted 4 LBs to help with depth this year, and 3 are injured. I don't see the pass rush getting better until next season, so the CBs are going to be constantly hung out to dry.

Crayton lets two go through his hands. Nobody mentions that. As somebody that is a Carolina fan, I wish we could get Romo.
Two of those INTs could have happened to anybody.

Romo isn't a leader and he makes too many mistakes. If he were more consistent and didn't throw picks, then Dallas would have rolled the Giants last night. Most of their points were on turnovers on Dallas end of the field.

Romo did improve this offseason by holding onto the ball and not taking off and running earlier. So he is making progress. But he needs to learn consistency, take his check downs, and stop throwing picks. Garrett could help him by using less shotgun and using the run more consistently in the play mix. Especially on Dallas' end of the field.

Somebody referenced Flacco, and I agree because he takes care of the ball and plays steady football. Flacco looks like a 5 year vet out there, and Balt is going to be very solid this year with him and their defense.

Dallas has tons of talent everywhere, but discipline and execution are the problem. Wade needs to go, and I think Garrett is overhyped. He tends to fall in love with the shotgun, and calls the same damn passing plays over and over. He needs 4-5 more years of coaching experience before he is considered a HC candidate.

Last year, Flacco had 14 td's to 12 INT's. Romo had 26/14. Flacco also had the Ravens D. 1/2 the teams in the league would LOVE to have Romo.

I'd trade him for Delhomme.

Romo is far more successful than a lot of QBs - imagine if we had B. Quinn or Delhomme? You'd have freaked out two seasons ago. I feel bad for all the hate this guy gets, when our secondary was getting destroyed last night - why aren't you bitchin about that?

Delhomme took his team to the SuperBowl. He was able to win a playoff game. Don't lump him with Romo.

Everyone locally agrees that Romo needs to mature, and do so quickly. Go to the comments section below.

As the questions kept coming at Romo on Sunday, he kept talking about his frustration in the decision-making, promised to improve and apologized to his teammates and Jerry Jones for ruining the grand opening of Cowboys Stadium.

Um, Flacco was a ROOKIE. He has major upside and was a leader for his team.

Romo doesn't lead his team worth shit. He had TWO Hall of Fame cowboys call him out this off season for not being a leader and telling him to step up. He's more interested in going to Mexico to suck on some big ol' titties while Flacco was winning (2) playoff games. He didn't throw an INT in either of the first two games. I mean he was a ROOKIE and all.
